| After watching 220 eps. of "Naruto Goodness" with such an epic ending I was more than anxious to see the release of Shippuuden. Thus far I have enjoyed every ep. The story picks up right where it left off & never even missed a step. The characters stories have developed over time & add to the overall "depth" of the anime. Although it's not over (thank god) I'm still enjoying every drop and am looking forward to what the future holds. ^_^

| We have a saying back where I come from, that goes: "If it ain't broke, don't Shippuuden it".
Well okay, maybe nobody actually says that, but its definitely what I wish someone had said to the makers of this anime when I'm watching it. This is due to the fact that while the original, enjoyable Naruto formula sure wasn't broken, with Shippuuden it most surely is. When loosely translated "Shippuuden" means "Hurricane Chronicles", but the current incarnation of the Naruto storyline moves with nothing like the speed of a hurricane. Almost everything about the new series moves with a slow ploddingness that advances the story with a stifling, crippled pace. This includes the animation, the sound, the directing, and the dialogue between characters. Almost everything here is barely reminscent of the fast-paced shinobi action and storytelling that made the original Naruto series a hit.
The best example of this that I can think of is how in recent episodes the series has delved into a kind of leaf-village politics between the current Hokage and a rival faction lead by the "mysterious" (read: boring) Danzo, who interestingly enough was never mentioned in the previous series when his nemesis the Third Hokage was actually alive.
Lets take a step back here. Politics? Politics?? How can something so boring have found its way into the script? The answer appears to be that it is because it gives the characters a chance to stand around in circles meanlinglessly chewing up episode time while discussing the possible motives and plans of a character who has had a total screen time of less than ten minutes (discounting of course all of the repeated flashbacks that the viewers get treated to). This is reminiscent of George Lucas's revival of the Star Wars series in Episode One. Trade federations? Galactic senate committees? Votes of no confidence? The main reason fans watched on was to wait for the inevitable moment when Anakin Skywalker became Darth Vader. As with the new Star Wars movies, in Naruto: Shippuuden fans are all mostly watching on in order to reach the final moment when Naruto reunites with the no-show (at least until the most very recent episode) Sasuke. Thats not that the series doesn't still have potential. Theres a wealth of Akatsuki members to have their asses handed to them, not to mention the eventual showdown with Itachi Uchiha (will it be Naruto or Sasuke who does the final deed?). Then of course there are still five more Kyubi tails left to come bubbling out of Naruto - lets hope he doesn't keep getting steadily more boring with each one, as is the case now. But ultimately that potential, and the fact that so far its been mostly wasted, is what stings the most about Shippuuden. How can the powerful tale that was set up in the first series be so terribly mishandled? This review has been written in reaction to the new series as it has been presented to us up until now. There have been good moments: Gaara's arc managed to draw some decent emotion alongside one or two decent fights (these fights DO NOT include the abomination of a time-waster that was the fight between Gai's team and their artificial doubles). But the good moments have been few and far between. Now that Naruto and Sasuke are at least actually in the same building the series has a chance to revive itself back to the glory days of what it once was. Either that, or we'll continue to be subjected to the politcs drama of Tsunade being presented with a vote of no confidence by the ninja senate.

| Shippuden was a chance for the Naruto name to revive itself. Having finished with all the fillers in the first Naruto, I was hoping that they would return to the pace that was shown at the beginning of Naruto with fast plot action and an intriguing storyline. Though my hopes were partially answered by the awesome first episode in which the series fast forwards to the confrontation between Naruto and Sosuke, once that "spoiler" was over the story slowed to a crawl. While it's true that there are no "filler" episodes yet, they've slowed down the storyline to an almost DBZ-like pace with fights lasting up to three or four episodes. And with only one new episode a week, I really wasn't happy with a single long fight in an entire month.

| Overall, I would say, Shippuuden is a masterpiece of an anime that grabs the attention of all viewers who have a sense of humor to this genre.

| First of all i have to say that i am very disappointed in the new naruto saga!!! What happened to the great animation of the first season??? Why did Naruto not change a single bit after three years. He only grew some centimeters but his personality stayed the same. Why is it the slowest anime i have ever seen???And why am i still watching though there arent many likeable things to say???
When Naruto started in 2002 i was fascinated and i was happy to be late so that i could watch the first season in a row. As the story progresses it was still a very cool anime with many interesting fights and somehow surprising twists.
But Shippuden really leads nowhere. You know from the beginning what will happen next. There is no way Sakura could lose a fight before meeting Sasuke. Or Naruto woudlnt die before having his heartbreaking reunion with Sasuke. That is pretty obvious but there is still some space to make an intriguing plot. The first mission seemed to me like a serious filler. A lot of fighting and in the end everything is where they started again (with some unimportant loses of course). But i really want to know how Naruto will end. It is like a book you started reading and liked it very much and you notice that you are right through the middle and the story has lost some intensity but you still have to know what is going to happen next. Probably most of you think the same.

| At last, the filler is over, Naruto goodness is here! Or not. Sadly, Shippuden fails to capitalize on the franchise's new lease on life, and is best avoided.

| Even though this anime has a good storyline, this is devalued by the slowness of what little progression there is. The fights are dragged out, dialogue is dragged out and even simple staring has been dragged out so much I'm actually fast forwarding these moments just to finish the episode quicker and leaves me very frustrated that an anticipated episode of naruto has not progressed much in story at all. The animation and music are on par, if not better than, the season before so cant complain. If the producers actually picked up the pace, this would actually be very good indeed. However, because of the slow progression this will never be rewatched.

| viewed up to ep 11
Animation : up to a 2007 anime, pretty close in quality to that of the first season
Sound. entertaining OP and fair soundtrack. in line with its predecessor.
Story : A big disappointment. Not that it is bad. the storyline is pretty fair, but the pace is much too slow. it is like the authors, thinking they have a good scenario since a very long time want to hold onto it as long as possible. Those 11 eps should have been condensed into 5-6 eps, which would have given a better pace. On the contrary, stretching this so far really sabotages it. The fights are very slow. Some unecessary ancillary scenes , unnecessary talks, and self-satisfaction shots fill the voids. As a result, there is no comparison with the breath- taking drama of the first 20 eps of Season 1. Annoying is when one character is doing something, all the others look like stranded till the first one has finished. I have the feeling to see a computer with windows 3.1 : nice look but single task only.
Character : Fair but not outstanding. the key character is flattering himself to an extent beyond imagination.
Value : also downgraded by the slow pace as it may make rewatching boring. Still not bad
Enjoyment : fair. behind the first 50 eps of the season but better than the last 100 eps.
In short, should please Naruto fan and maybe newcomers but I was expecting much more as a new season's beginning. Will the pace pick up or will it go down the road to doziness of its prequel? The question is open, also i fear the latter coming true.
Give it a try for a few eps.
Mildly recommanded

| I wanted to wait until episode 10 before leaving this review so here it is: Naruto Shippuuden a till now enjoyable and interesting series, much unlike its prequel: Naruto which was incredibly boring, long and with so many fillers and uselessly elongated discussions that I lost interest after that crummy 2nd episode.
Anyway, back to Shippuuden which, as we all know is still ongoing so the grades I gave might be altered in the future because, even though it had a very good start, so did every other Shounen series made by Studio Pierrot but they also all had their downs, in Bleach there was that Bounto saga, in Naruto there were ep2 and from about 140 onwards, in Yu Yu Hakusho there were some weaker ep... ok so this didn't.
After 30+ episodes I think I was to hasty giving this review, the Shippuden series has slowwwwly transformed into what I like to call SHIT POO THEN... and I'm still waiting for what's after then and all that is because the anime is extremely boring. At episodes 24, 25 the second series reached a new record of less than 1 chapter in 2 non filler episodes! Personally I didn't want to see Gai team's extremely badly animated and brainless fights in fact, those extended scenes with that team helped the series reach an average of 1.2 chapters per episode, meaning that the old Naroto is back just with papery animation.

| naruto shippuuden, also known as the 2nd season of the anime naruto, finally started... i've waited 1 year to watch this anime continue. animation has improved, sound has improved, and especially the plots improved, even though if it has started recently...
naruto shippuuden is quite different from naruto, it's going to be more deeper in naruto's life as the jinchuruuki... newcomers shouldn't start watching naruto shippuuden, they should first start to watch the regular anime naruto first, even though if the first 5 episodes are quite boring ( for the first time watching it )...
naruto shippuuden is a new start for naruto, and i'm very happy that the fillers ended, narutofans have waited months for this start! and now it's there

| Naruto Shippuden
Naruto Shippuden, the second part of Naruto has finally been released after a long, drawn out amount of fillers to end the old Naruto series. It hit the screens early 2007 in Japan and fun subbed on the internet a day later, although some legal issues go along with fan subbing and releasing it on the internet for free, it still continues and has done ever since Naruto first started in 2005. Many anime have the same issues of people taking it in and fan subbing it. But what the companies loose in money they gain in popularity in foreign country’s, which leads to more money in the long run as pressure is put on them to release it in the west and in other languages.
Apart from them all being older and more mature (to an extent).
The power differences are unimaginable. There is more to it then just the new style characters though, there are other things to consider like the quality of the animation and they voice acting.
The quality of the animation has improved greatly while keeping the same characteristics that we expect from Naruto.
Difference in the voice acting is, as expected, a lot better. Naturally, the characters have aged and they have lost the young voices and sound more mature.
The story is moving on with what’s actually happening. They are going to find Sasuke and bring him back. All three of team 7 have been training with the legendary sanin. Sasuke with the evil Ochimaru: Naruto with the kind yet perverted Jarya and Sakura with the 5th hokage of hidden leaf country, Tsunade. All of them have new abilities and have improved there old ones. As you find out during the first phew episodes. Sakura can destroy just about everything with here fists by concentrating her Chakra into one fists and releasing it all at once. A phew episodes later you find Naruto has adapted the resengan to his own and has made it simply bigger, better and more powerful. Although its now so powerful he can blow away just about anything, its takes a lot of energy and wears him down a lot. As where we are with the episodes now, we don’t see Sasuke’s new attacks; we have not even seen him yet apart from a glimpse of him on the first phew seconds from the first episode of Naruto Shippuden.
Although Naruto Shippuden has been released in Japan in Japanese. It is unknown when it will be released in English. Or even if it will be at all. Most of the western fans who are watching the English version and don’t watch a lot of anime wont even know about Naruto Shippuden as its still at around episode 55 and they are 221 in Japan.
The conclusion is that if you have watched the first series of Naruto, it’s the defiant go getter to watch Naruto Shippuden. Overall improvement of the animation. One of the best anime to be released in 2007 is what I personally think. The rest is up to you.

| I'm totally satisfied and hooked, and I'm finally glad Naruto Shippuuden is back on its right track, end of the fillers! Yatta!!
Series Description:
After the long filler episodes of Naruto Season 9 that ended with episode 219, Naruto is back on the right track in dealing with the Akatsuki and Sasuke.
Shippuuden started 2 years after season 9 ended, All of the characters have grown from kids to teens and have matured. Naruto improves his ninjutsu, genjutsu and taijutsu skills and learned a new jutsu which is still a secret, Sakura have greatly improved in both medical skills and Insanely brute strength taijutsu that the 4th Hokage Tsunade Taught herself and branded sakura as the 2nd Tsunade.
Finally Naruto went back to konoha after finishing his 2 year intensive training, as soon as he returned Tsunade wanted to know if Naruto has really improved his skills and asked sakura to team-up with him for a test againts Kakashi-sensei, The rules are the same when they first graduated as genin, they have to take the bells from away from kakashi using whatever means possible. Will they succeed? Will Naruto finally show his new jutsu?

| Ok...so i never thought id say this...i mean that Naruto is no longer shit.
but yeah it apparently isnt anymore....after all the episodes of meaningles crap we had to go through just so the Studio Pierrot can earn some extra money... i mean mail delivering ninjas....i thought that maybe once they stop showing the fillers and get back to the main arc some of the filler residue would be perminantly imprinted on naruto....thankfully that doesnt seem to be the case. after watching Shippuden i feel ass though we are sopposed to dismiss the 100 or more crap episodes as though one would dismiss a nightmare.
Because Shippuden is basically the Naruto we all used to love and get addrenaline rushes when things happened that we so wanted to happen and stuff you know. well basically i feel as though the anime that in my oppinion was soooo below bleach has...in one fell swoop.... gone faar above it once again.
But still if you want some artistic, emotional..... 5 star anime i still dont think naruto will satisfy you for those i recommend the type of animes that end within 30 or so episodes haha. planets, honey and clover, beck, etc.
But for those that love it when battles that youv wanted to see happen before your eyes in ways much better than you even imagined....i think Naruto once again will give you those rushes.

| From the first 2 episodes, the story is really taking good shape. The animation hasn't improved much from its predecessor, but they are noticeable. The bg music is really catchy at times, and makes you feel nostalgic too.
I recommend that you don't watch this if you haven't seen the original Naruto series; this sequel may throw you off.
