| A short lived glimpse into the travels of three character with a short lived glimpse into each character's background. If you don't mind the incomplete nature of if all, then this will be a great watch.
Hatenko Yugi consistently surprised me. I'm not talking about the Nina-Alexander-FMA kind of shock. Sure, sometimes it was a morbid turn of events, but often just simply a character's unexpected reactions. You'll know what I mean when the ghost begins her tragic monologue to Rahzel and Alzeid in ep1.
Give it the ol' 3 episode test (Ep 2 and 3 are particularly good). Rahzel is awesome, great char interaction (Rahzel and Hi-tan), and strikes a great balance between the light hearted fun, sarcasm, and dark subject matter. My only complaint is, although it did well with only 10 eps, I want more. Definitely recommended.

| Hatenko Yugi tells you a story about... well about a girl named Rasel (she is in the center of the picture, you can' miss her: ) well she is the only girl in the picture). She is not a normal girl - she is able to cast spells and is a skilled fighter as well. It is funny how she is forced to seek her future. Well you can say she was throwed out from her family home by her father. With no special reason. In the first episode she bumps in to a man with white hair and red eyes - Alzeid.
He is a man of mastery and legend with a vengeance in his eyes - he want to find a certain woman and kill her.
Last but not least is Baroqueheat ('Barocuheto'). In the latest episodes the viewer is given more info concerning him.
So ther story is about to take place and is about to start in a revolution in anime.
If you ask me about the review it will look like this.

Animeted by 'Studio Deen' - there works are not known much to me, but they animatet such titles as Fate/stay night (7.5/10.0 (38 reviews)), Fruits Basket (this one was a good one really - 8.5/10.0 (175 reviews) (top 199: # 29) so top 30 animes- but still only manga advertisement), Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (8.8/10.0 (33 reviews)), Higurashi no Nakukoro ni Kai (7.8/10.0 (6 reviews)) this were bloddy series, Maria-sama ga Miteru (8.6/10.0 (56 reviews) (top 199: # 102)), Matantei Loki - Ragnarok (8.3/10.0 (44 reviews) (top 199: # 142)), and last Star Ocean Ex (7.1/10.0 (32 reviews)) ooo... Would have forgot all 'You're Under Arrest!' series plus 'Vampire Knight'. So a lot of good animes I think.
The animation for starters is good, even very good for the beginning of this year. The movement is smood and well organized, the animation of heroes - specially in the fight and action shots is well angeld and framed. Colours make nice composition specially with shadow actions and Rasels magic effects.
Sound is nicely done plus for the music specially OPEN text and song. One of the nicer parts are the voice actors. Sakurai Takahiro with more than 60 anime voices (Naruto Shippuden Sasori of example as well as Neeba in Druaga no To ~the Aegis of URUK~) and Kobayashi Sanae (look out Nyu/Lucy from Elfen Lied as well as Xing Huo from Tsubasa Chronicle).
And now the story which is the biggest plus for this series. There is no story at all... Surprised? Episodes are more or less short stories in witch Rasel and her comrades play a vital role. With lots of humour and lots of gags. But be warned this anime is not a ferry tale. There is blood, burials, killing of men and woman, children that kill, child killing, lot of hard questions and a nice world view.
But the main thing are the "hero trio" with bad sides as well as logical thinking. Rasel is a young girl, but she is quite grown-up for her age. She is a little of a brutal but also a nice lady. Messed up from lots of characters that in the end make a nice personality. As for Alzeid he does not talk much, but skilled fighter and perfect sniper creates him for a ideal counter for emotional and 'colourful' Rasel. Baroqueheat is another story he is a free spirit with nice and light-hearted way of looking on others. He makes funny actions in the anime specially playing 'sexy' tricks on Rasel.
To sum this up. The anime is a valuable series with not much episodes (well 10 is not much). So a short series of short stories with no big and fancy plot in the middle of it all.
I enjoyed it to the end but it is not for everybody. If you are a fan of master long big shows like Naruto, InuYasha, DragonBall or Bleach. It is the oposit. But still perfect for one weak of your time.

| This is the story about a girl and two guys who wander around together looking for adventure. It has the sly humor of shows like Excel Saga and Samurai Champloo, where the things that are supposed to be important really aren't, and the adventure feal of shows like Slayers. The only problem I find is that it suffers from the I already had a season 2, which seems to be the theme of most series released in 2008. So after 10 episodes it ends at a spot that's not really an end. Despite that, I really enjoyed watching it and felt like watching it again immediately.
