Despite this heavily populated genre, this anime did a good job to stand out from the others. The storyline itself is fairly original and the writers were very creative when devising the magic system. They seemed to use various gods/deitys/spirits from several different religions/beliefs from around the world that really added variety. Overall, I strongly recommend Rental Magica if you like the Fantasy/Magic genre.
