| Birdy follows the story of Birdy and the unusual circumstance that results in the fusion of two previously unrelated souls. The series is strong with interesting characters but its psychedelic nature along with a predictable story line dilute the experience.

| Birdy might initially sound like a really stupid name, and I still think it sounds weird, but this series surprised me throughout with its depth and action.
Birdy Decode is a 13-episode remake of the original 4-ep Birdy OVA with a more modern look and a more extensive storyline. It is an action based sci-fi-ish story about an alien detective known as Birdy and how she ends up fused with an ordinary human named Tsutomu.
This series has one of the most interesting storylines that I have seen recently and excels at building up tension right before a critical moment.
Overall, this series has a lot going for it. It has a good VA cast; strong character development; an intricate, well-planned storyline; and subtle yet important secondary themes running throughout the show. This show exceeded all my expectations for it, a definite pleasure to watch.

| This review will be based on both Birdy the Mighty DECODE and Birdy the mighty DECODE 02.
I started watching this anime on whim, looking for a good action action series. What I got was one the best animes I've seen in years.
It has a fantastic story, great characters, and awesome action.
