Adoro Tsubasa, este giro que dió le brindó a Tsubasa lo que necesita para ser una serie de verdadero drama.

This anime is abit weird, it makes a lot of sense as to all the TRC S1. S2 and now this. The OVA actually settle few things, but there is still a lot more not settled in this anime. And this OVA made sure of it that TRC will not "die just yet"

I'll start off by saying that I'm very picky with my Anime and I tend to not be so generous when it comes to reviews. In this case, however, I WILL be generous as this is exactly what I was hoping to see in terms of storyline. After episode 42, I started cursing CLAMP and was utterly disappointed with the plot as it had completely strayed away from the main story as per the Manga. Tokyo Revelations satiated my hunger with it's flawless adaption of the Tokyo Arc. The dark tones and splatter of blood (A first in Tsubasa animation) made me look on in awe as it did justice to the manga. The only aspect of the OAV I didn't come to appreciate was the music. While accentuating the background with deep sounds, much of the original music from the anime was missing except for a few notes here and there to remind fans and viewers that it was indeed Tsubasa they were watching. All in all...it was an enjoyable, solid 3 volumes of story. I hope CLAMP answers the thirst of fans to release more of the story in either another series or a set of OAVs in intervals.

If you have watched tsubasa chronicles, you'd have been really wondering if there will ever be an end to the series. Most likely or not, you'll be looking for a closure in tokyo revelations. If you thought that, wrong! This OVA merely skims the surface, and might just have fitted in with the rest of the episodes of the anime proper.

Basically, you'd still need to watch the anime series in order to understand the OVA itself, but that aside, the animation was better than the original series, mainly in character aspects. In a sense, I felt that the characters are somewhat more expressive and have the ability to invoke emotions in you, which wasn't so for the anime itself. Nonetheless, this OVA was animated by Production L.G, which also produced Tsubasa Chronicles : The Princess in the Land of Birdcages, which meant it'll probably have been better than Bee Train's animation of the anime series itself.

The storyline was pretty much the same, travelling worlds and finding feathers. I must say the development for this story was good, in a sense that some questions were answered about the previous anime (Syaoran's past, the origin of the feathers etc). However, it left me with a lot of questions to ponder, like what exactly is Fay's background, and mainly, when in the world are they going to finish collecting the feathers? It left me in a cliffhanger, like what the original series did. I was looking for some form of closure, but it left me with more questions instead. Cardcaptor Sakura appearing in this show wasn't really helpful either...I mean, if you're trying to make it a commemorative edition, i think i understand, but she only appeared for no more than 10 seconds, no speech, no nothing. And out of nowhere too! the story did grab me, don't get me wrong, but it wasn't fabulous.

Needless to say, sound-wise i was really impressed. Seiyuus did an equally good job in expressing and giving shape to the characters as compared to the anime, so i was pretty impressed. Soundtrack wise, having carried forward Kaijura's works, and with such a great opening by Yui Makino (Synchronicity) and a pretty good ending by Maaya Sakamoto (Saigo no Kajitsu), it was superb. Both OP and ED were fitting for the mood and it felt really comfortable, as though they were telling a story by themselves.

Having watched the whole series, there isn't really much of a character development. Rather, a reinforcement on who the characters are and what they believe in. I wasn't particularly impressed, but captivated nonetheless by Sakura who never gave up, a Fay who stayed close to his beliefs, and a Syaoran who would stay true to his belief of gathering all the feathers and protecting Sakura.

I didn't feel much from this OVA to be exact, other than more questions than answers, but if, if, by any chance, CLAMP decides to go on with Season 3, I'll be more than happy to jump on to the bandwagon again. The cast, the basic storyline has captivated me, and the main draw would be the sound itself.
