| A show filled with lame jokes that hardly make you crack a smile, but by the end of the show you miss it.
At best Office space like.
At worse it's like reading a total strangers journal, you just can't relate though it may be interesting.

| Love it!
The setting is only in the studio, and 90% of the time they were shots in that studio. I love the opening song and ending. The jokes were really funny. You could laugh for hour if you watch ep. in rows. The jokes are not lame, it the best! shining! ever made in anime. LOL
Maico was the best! She got a pretty voice and android body to matches with. You could say she has the perfect personality for a girl. Others characters in the series have their mystery and twisted problem in a way. The series solves the problem bit by bit and always gives us a good chances to guess them. Even you don't pay attention, you'll know the answer anyway. It got the smooth plots for 15min. ep. Each ep. connects. No boring review ep. Since it so short, sometime you have to guess what happen out there outside the studio. But the best thing about this series is that it SO FREKAING FUNNY. You could LAUGH FOR AN HOUR or so. NO BORING OR LAME JOKES.
Have fun.

| Even by 1996 standards, it ain't great, but it's not something I'm discarding that easily. It's interesting enough to keep watching, but it was something that would have been good if it was given enough care. The animation is quite rough, the music cornier than MTV on Saturday morning, and some of the characters are almost nihilistic to the point some aren't even worthy of laughs let alone empathy. But it's an amusing little thing. The cheesy opening jingle, argument after argument, and people trying to make some sor tof living with an android that's gradually getting a brain. Worth a watch at least but not that memorable, especially when the ending sequence looked like it was drawn by a 3 year-old.

| Maico 2010 is not a well known anime, but I enjoy it a lot. The pretty innocent android girl is a treat to watch and I find the setting of the show quite amusing because for an anime, a sitcom about broadcasting industry is unique; it reminded me of "Murphy Brown" a bit. Each episode of Maico 2010 is very short, but well plotted enough to satisfy viewers. This is a fun and catchy comedy everyone can enjoy. Give this a try.

| Android Ana (ana means "announcer" in Japanese-English) Maico is a short anime series based on a VERY ecchi manga by the same name. The premise of the show is that in 2010, the radio industry is getting clobbered--so a radio station in Tokyo gets the idea to have the world's first android announcer, guaranteeing a spike in ratings. Almost all of the show (and all of the first 8 15-minutes episodes I saw) takes place in a single room, where they record the show. Although you'd think that would save some serious time on painting backgrounds, they went even cheaper by CGing some of the office, like microphones and such. It really doesn't work visually--a animated 2D character in front of a 3D CG microphone just doesn't look right. It makes me wish there was no CG in anime--there are times it's done OK, but this isn't really one of them. The premise of the show is novel, and the ecchiness that pervades the manga is gone in the anime. It's a funny show in spots, as Maico shows up but isn't exactly bug-free, which when they record the show live is not a good thing. Watching everyone scramble to cover for her, and watching her grow to be a more human, better announcer is what makes this an appealing show.
The cast is interesting, if not entirely sympathetic--there's the director, Matsu-san, who's always pulling out his few remaining hairs and yelling at people, the editor, Kacchin, who's almost completely spineless, Densuke, the good-looking A.D., a younger guy who's kind of infatuated with Maico, but always getting beaten up by the director; the cute but completely indifferent assistant, Izumi; and the sound effects guy, Ume-san, who only speaks in sound effects. And of course Maico, the pink-haired, kawaii, but at first somewhat buggy announcer.
Overall, a light-hearted, funny show, it's too bad only the first 8 eps got fansubbed (and I doubt it'll get licensed). The opening song is catchy as hell too, even for gaijin, since it only uses the "Do Re Mi" syllables.

| So far, I've only seen the first four episodes subbed, but I'll make a tentative review in any case.
This is a lighthearted anime about a radio station that uses an android as a gimmick in order to boost ratings. For some reason, I enjoyed this show greatly. Nothing about it is truly spectacular, and it's not a "must have" (by far) on every anime fan's list, but the comedy and the ultra-kawaii Ana Maico made me want more. As I said, it's a light anime, and it's best watched if one is in the mood for something sugary but not annoying.

| This show, being a 15 minute program, actually was good and exceeded on a few levels. It's a good thing it was 15 minutes because it keeps a good pace and it didn't go into any filler episodes, and the humor is quite funny and charming. Of course it kind of trys to be deep. With the Maico, like all andriods, are not accepted and doesn't fully understand their emotions and the emotions of others.
From my experience it seems the 15 minute series seem to be becoming quite better then the 20-25 minute programs.
