| This is the most romantic and sensuous addition to the Tenchi franchise and if what you're looking for is a more serious side to all things Tenchi, then this movie is a must watch.

| Can be argued that the movie really doesn't contain the essence of Tenchi Muyo. (The same slap-stick joke repeated 1000x) But to me, this certainly was the best of the whole Tenchi franchise.
One of the Haruna's scenes were the most... how would I say it - 'sexy' I've ever seen - anime or live action wise.
But then again, if you're fan of the fast-paced slapstick comedy - skip this one. Otherwise, you might love it.

| Well, this is best of Tenchi series (excluding the GXP and the new OVA ones) after the first Tenchi Muyo! OVA in my list. They tried to put some drama into it and they did it well I think. The story is not broken, the characters are perfect as awlays in Tenchi series, and what I respect with the OVA's is their sound, the music is very good. It helps us to understand the characters' feelings more deepely, somehow bringing us to the Tenchi World. Enjoyed this one very much.
P.S. Wouldn't it be really nice if they had drawn the continuation of Tenchi rather than started drawing that GXP one? or NOT..?...Well, GXP ready or not here i come to watch you :)

| This had to be my favorite one from out of the three movies. It won’t have a lot of humor or even any action in it such to the previous titles. This one had to be the highest drama you’ll ever experience in any Tenchi movies or series. It takes you through typical time with the gang, and then to the point right after his disappearance that seemed to be taken for granted with Ryoko and Ayeka. But that wasn’t all that seemed to be the only thing for making this movie good. Everything in that moment were more than an uncanny feeling to the feelings that were making Tenchi think of how he is willing to just give up something for another that seemed to be more pleasant and better to his new life that he had just found. The calm and tranquil music and animation gave that whole effect of making it so whimsy in this story. Even though he did found what was best for him and that he was less likely try to forget his previous life, his past always seems to remain with him; whether he seemed to have those certain fondness for making that long journey coming to an end. And Haruna, a person who was part of that new world to Tenchi that seemed to settle down and was mostly someone that isn’t similar to the persona of Ryoko and Ayeka that he would be familiar with. The scenes may have some confusion during some times, that made this more amusing to watch for what it makes the unusual drama of leaving you something that can make his life a worthwhile trip that was felt a dream to him. As for that year passing by, Ryoko and Ayeka are also, and obviously, the main focus that habitually worried of his disappearance. Their feelings for him had become more stronger from this time, and from that moment they would do almost anything to get him back in his previous life. Probably the most mystifying flim I’ve ever watched for its third and final movie.

| Ahh Ahh.. Tenchi Universe version finally come to end. The ending wasn't all that great but atleast it let us know it was "The End" for real this time.
I'll be honest with you. If it wasn't the last movie for Tenchi universe, this movie is totally boring and the script doesn't have anything special in it either. Story get you nowhere and you keep seeing the same scenes over and over again. Althou the story about Yosho's lost love was kind funny and that's probably the only thing you will found it interesting. I don't know about you guy.. but I don't think they mention about Yosho run away with his lover to come to Earth. I only remember they saying "He just dissapear" from Jurai. Anyway, the movie finally show us who Tenchi choose!!~!! woo hoo~~!! You wanna know who? I got my secret answer in character review. Well you can pretty much guess it anyway.
Good stuff to end the 'ok ok' althernative Tenchi Universe.

| I don't know... I like this. Really. I mean, it has beautiful animation and art and the story is more than great.
The thing is, that it's not Tenchi Muyo!. At least not how I see Tenchi: for me, the true Tenchi is the very first OAV (GXP is very good too but the rest...).
If they didn't call it Tenchi, I'd surelly give it higher marks.
...
What can I say? Drama was the essence of this movie. Minimal comedy (if not simply non-existent). For me that means that it simply isn't Tenchi.
Oh well... I'll probably get flamed for this...

| This Tenchi movie is really different than the usual comedic Tenchi. Instead of focusing on the lighter side of everything, this movie is really serious in exploitng the heart of Tenchi, Ayeka, and Ryoko. This actually feels a lot like watching a sci-fi movie and it does drag a little bit in the middle of it. If you actually stick till the ending, we can see that it kind of tide the knot to the Tenchi Universe, but not the OVA, since it operates on a totally different story.
This is either a love it or hate it movie. If you are expecting a comedy, skip it, but if you want to further see how Tenchi and the other "matures", this movie is a must see!

| This isn't your regular Tenchi Muyo movie. This one takes an entirely new perspective as Ayeka and Ryoko's characters mature throughout their search for Tenchi as they're no longer the comical pair engaged in a rivalry over wooing Tenchi. Though not recommended for all Tenchi fans who normally crave the comedy of the series, Tenchi Forever has stunning animation, a great storyline, some excellent musical pieces, and an antagonist you can sympathize. The only downfall I see with this movie is that half of the Tenchi cast is reduced to minor roles. Supposedly, this was the final Tenchi anime, but Tenchi Muyo GXP and the third OAV have proved this quite wrong.

| Really emotionally intense movie. This isn't your usual Tenchi adventure where someone is in danger and the group needs to go rescue them, this is just a powerful movie about Tenchi's relationships with the women around him. This is definitely a movie every Tenchi fan needs to see, but if you don't care for Tenchi and are looking for a big action/fighting movie then look elsewhere.

| I'm afraid i have to say this movie was a big let down. The story compared with the other 2 movies is really a big load of nothing, the characters are supposed to be grown up but they don't look any different to any of the other movies. It was also going to be the last movie where every thing was concluded, but I don't think thats the case. I found the first 2 movies a bit sad and deppresing with characters being killed off they did make me a bit tearfull, but this one did not leave me with that feeling at all. On the whole i felt this film laged behind the first 2, and i had the feeling at times that they made this film because they had nothing else to do

| This is probably the best Tenchi movie out there.
You won't get as much action and fun that was in the first two movies but instead a more serious involving love story.
This kicks the Tenchi: Daughter of Darkness movie in the pants!
Worth seeing if your a Tenchi fan

| This movie has the effect of giving closure to the series, it even seems like Tenchi has made up his mind over which babe he likes best. Ahh, the sweet sound of Ryoko and Ayeka bickering (english cast voices). It's nice to have a talented dub track.
Of course, the main thing you'll notice is that there is no epic battle in this one, it's essentially just a romance/drama, with a sci-fi twist. Actually I'm almost positive this plotline has been used before in a StarTrek episode or something.
Not to say that any of this rules out further Tenchi-related adventures. Maybe they'll finish the original OVA someday...

| Tenchi Forever is actually a Romantic-Drama without any comedy or action, in this they deviate from the original Tenchi(tm) genere. The lack of comedy makes this anime much more serious then any other Tenchi anime while the lack of action makes it very boring. If you like slow animes or romance you'll find it enjoyable, if you seek more of Tenchi seek elsewhere.

| This Tenchi movie, the third and the last, is the most enjoyable. As with all of the Tenchi Series, you either love it or don't. This is no different.
