| The earth will soon come to an end. The incarnate of a demon named Enka who will destroy the world has been narrowed down to one of seven beings. How will the world respond to it? By operation Cozy Family where essentially unlimited funds will be provided to ensure that the members of the family get along and thus prevent hatred from causing them to destroy the world.
The idea behind the show seems a bit outlandish and you can bet that the plotline is as well. This is a fairly light-hearted series though it has a few somewhat serious moments. If anything, the wild swings in the plot made the show feel inconsistent.
If you want a wild ride and don't mind silly stuff, this show is for you. If you're up for a mature series with a serious, philosophical nature, steer clear.

| 最初はこのアニメはSitComタイプのスラップスティックコメディだと思った。まぁ、おおむねその判断は間違っていないと思う。一癖もふた癖もある人間や殺人兵器、なぜかクラゲが集まって家族ごっこをし、世界を破滅に導くかもしれない魔物の子孫の闘争心を失わせる作戦、すなわち、「なごやか家族作戦」という設定はまさにコメディといっていいと思う。
一話を見た時の感想は「テンション高すぎ」。
メインのキャラクタはこの家族の母親役の凶華で、ネコミミ＋しっぽといういでたちをしているが全く萌えない。この凶華はかつて神様としてあがめられたせいかわがままな性格をしており、人が話している途中で早口でべらべらと話し出すという演出が多く見られ、すぐに暴走し、騒動をおこすといった感じ。
一話目をみた限りでは、テンションのあまりの高さにちょっとついていけそうにないと思った。
しかしながら、一見能天気に見える家族も幼少時からから虐待を受けて育っているものがいたり、性同一性障害に悩んでいるものがいたり、次期リーダー争いにやぶれて群れから追い出されたものがいる等、それぞれトラウマを抱えているという設定が非常興味深く、引き込まれてしまった。
オープニングおよびエンディングはどちらも電波系といっていいと思う。歌詞が意味不明で、自分がついていけそうにないと感じた一因でもある。しかし、回を追う毎に「割といいんじゃないか？」と思い始め、毒されたてきた自分が恐ろしい。
自分はGyaoで全話見たため凶華バージョンのエンディングしか見たことがなかったが、Wikipediaによるとインターネットラジオの番組で放送局毎に違うキャラクタによるその週のエンディングを決定していたらしい。
なかなか面白い試みだと思う。DVDを見る機会があればぜひ他のエンディングも見てみたい。

| Been quite some time since ive seen such a good hearted, unique and original comedy that manages to mix some slice of life into the mix without taking itself to serious. A truly unique and wonderful comedy anime that you shouldnt miss out on if you enjoy a good comedy.
Kyorans story is a bit hard to describe since there really isnt one. It revolves around an unlikely group of Enka "children" that form a family by the order of a kind of super natural police force in order to try and overcome the destiny foretold a thousand years earlier.
However it isnt the story itself that makes it so great but the characters. You will fall in love with each character as the story progresses simply because each of them has so much depth and reality (nothing realistic about a jelly fish and a lion or battle robot but you know what I mean). It is the animes strongest point and manages to mix excellent comedy with a bit of slice of life without ever trying to take itself to serious.
Each episode made me laugh and still managed to put a solid message into the story. If you enjoy a good comedy do not pass this up.

| Can everyone say conflicted?
This is perhaps the hardest anime I've every tried to describe, let alone tried to review. Try to imagine a cross between 'Tokyo Mew Mew', 'Hayate no Gotuku!' and a dash of 'Excel Saga" and you might have some idea what 'Kyoran Kazoku Nikki' is like. Definitely not to everyone's taste but I'm finding the series oddly enjoyable and compelling. So far, I've found it to be a delightful study into the concept of what makes a family a family beyond their blood connection.
Over the top? Definitely. Even the chaotic pace of the opening song blends perfectly with the overall chaotic pace of the series.
If anything, the show is worth a little time invested--if you like parody and in your face humor--to make up you own mind
