| Fans of Negima whether anime or manga, this OAV is HIGHLY WORTH checking out. Covering the tiny arc after the Mahora festival and before their trip to Wales, this OAV is the epitome of what a true-to-manga anime adaption would have been like. If Akamatsu really funded SHAFT for a full anime adaption, we wouldn't have this teaser of only 3 episodes. This version is a near-perfect adaption of the manga: beautifully coloured, fluid animation, great super-deformed scenes and shots, great voice acting, and it doesn't lose the charm of the manga's comedy. The recap scene of Chao vs Negi and Yue's magic-using scene should be enough to tell you what epicness would have come out of a true adaption. All the comedic scenes are played out true to the original without any adaption decay. I am still an advocate for a full Negima anime adaption, and this is the closest thing you will get to one.
