| While it may seem like another harem romance comedy (which it is), the hero of Asu no Yoichi at least is not the wimpy characters that's in 99.99% of all other harem anime. So at least that's a good start to the series.
The animation is done quite well, while not excellent like Toaru, it is pretty good nonetheless. The animation is fluid, the actions scenes are quite nice too.
The voice acting is not bad, with Rina Satou leading the way in a pretty good cast. Again Rina Satou lead the way with a very good voice for Ibuki, a much different voice from Misaki of Toaru. But the OP and ED theme is not as good as I thought it could be. While performed by Meg Rock and Misato Aki, both good singers, their songs are really nothing special, I certainly can't remember any of it.
The story is nothing special, but it does sets others apart that it tries to send the viewers a good message rather than just plain harem ecchi. While there's plenty of guy on boob shots, the story does try to promote a good sense of friendship and righteousness. It feels more like a combination of the old Love Hina and Sumomo rather than Rosario+Vampire and Akikan. The story while nothing special, does have a main storyline and while the buildup could be better, the ending is still pretty interesting. It does not try to outdo itself, but just try to do the best it can with what the story is, so no stupid story twist or last minute villain appearance, which is a good thing.
The characters are all the same with the only difference that the hero actually kicks butt. But he still suffers from the typical perverted male mind that exists in all harem anime. It's surprising considering he's been living in a forest for most of his life. I guess the writers had to make it somehow to let the viewers related to the hero in this sense.
Overall while typical of another romance comedy, it is actually pretty entertaining and I can certainly see a little bit of the charm from this series.

| Asu no Yoichi started off with great potential. A young warrior leaves the mountain to join society and battle evil. Add four sisters and a sinister antagonist and you have the making of a good story.
The outcome was less satisfying than expected. There was too much breast grabbing and bad tempered violence between Ayame and Yoichi for my tastes.

| A very uninspired love polygon/harem anime, with stuff snatched from all over the place. Concepts from mainly Love Hina, FMP, School rumble and Kenshin are obvious and despite borrowing from good sources, the end result is simply not good in any way.

| This was a great anime with a story that will make you laugh, think, and tug at your heartstrings. It's a little too moralistic at times, but hey, the best ones usually are, am I right?? xD I would recommend it to anyone even slightly into anime and the such. I watched all twelve and was SO sad to see it end that soon. A definite 9/10 for me !! ^^

| At first I thought OMG another Fumoffu is on the way! A swordsman who has lived his entire life secluded in the mountains (no experience in the real world) comes out and moves in with a family of girls.
Sadly, this series falls terribly short of my expectations. Yoichi is no Sosuke. To be fair, I'll write as if I wasn't originally comparing with the great Fumoffu.
The series focuses on a swordsman with nearly invincible skills who continues his training with the Ibuki family who own a dojo of the same sword style.
The series is pretty much a typical ecchi-type harem with a small amount of action. The story is loose and the main plot-line is a bit on the weak side. Overall, it's just an average watch.

| Asu no Yoichi is about some guy who has lived up in the mountains with his dad for his entire life, practising his sword play and martial arts skills. In order to complete his training, he was ordered to gather new experiences in the city. Now he lives with the daughters of his family's affiliates, where he has to adapt to his new life and the sudden abundance of *females*.
I find this series quite interesting and enjoyable, though it lacks depth. A really straightforward comedy+slice of life anime that will, without a doubt, keep you entertained.
