| Eden's Bowy turned out to be a lot better than I expected. It provided an original story and a number of interesting characters. Very good adventure/fantasy series.

| I was expecting a little out of this series because of the previous reviews. It was a disappointment for sure.
There is nothing special about the animation. The animation is dated compared to today's standards, but even acknowledging that it's a kind of older series I can't help but rate the animation no better than average.
As for the sound - musical score and voice acting. The thing that irritated me the most was Yorn's, the main character's, voice. It's the same voice actor as Usopp in One Piece, but he does not fit the character in this series. Other voice actors were fine I suppose. The musical score is nothing to mention. I'd give the music a little below average score as well.
The story sounds interesting. I think with the same kind of premise it could have been made a lot better. The characters really ruin the story though. Yorn was very naiive and didn't really develop throughout the episodes very smoothly. Some of the side characters weren't developed enough. Another thing about the story is that the comic scenes are sometimes completely random and out of place.
Anyway, that's my take on the series. You decide if you want to give this series a chance.

Picked this one up in a nice cheap thin pack that ADV are selling, i was feeling guilty for my compulsive fee d/ling of anime lol.
Let me start by saying it seems to me like the pre 2K anime era concentrated more on storyline & overall enjoyment than animation e.g trigun, berserk, outlaw star, flame of recca etc
Review:
The first thing that grabbed me about this anime was the story...a boy with the power to kill gods!....damn i gotta see this. The other reviews also seemed somewot positive...well im happy to say it was'nt a waste of time or money and it fits quite well in my collection of classic anime.
The story is well thought out (even tho it does'nt seem so in the beginning).
Motives and plots are evenly spread throughout the series which i found refreshing, there is the occasional episode which focuses on certain main characters to explain their motives/reasons for their actions however the best is (as usual) left for last.
There is also a surprising undertaste of comedy which sometimes seems unexpected IMO but its definetly welcomed and it complements the series.
Characters are definetly likable and straightforward, althought there are a few nitwits which bring in the fun factor i guess.
Animation & Sound i gave a 8 because although its my favourite era for both its not really top notch 2006....im was'nt complaing tho
The ending brought it all together and i must say it was a perfect ending IMO

I can understand why other reviewers found this anime average because it is kinda average in an adventure sense but it has a very interesting storyline with
drama, action and romance and most importantly substance!
A previous reviewer compared this to zelda and FF7 and i must admit i could see some elements of them...when i heard comparison to those
legendary games it pushed me (and most people i would imagine) to give it a try.
Value of this anime is a straight ten cuz at the very least its a very watchable anime and dont forget cheap in price lol

| When the anime started, i thought wow for the first 7 episodes, then it slows down considerably till episode 18, and the ending is quite good. The real big thing about this anime is its subject matter, you will see very few anime with story lines dealing with man killing god, man using human souls as a power source to generate magic, people evolving to almost robots themselves. It deals with the good, the bad, and evil of all these things.

| Eden's Bowy was a very entertaining fantasy style anime that started off slow, but soon picked up the pace and had a very good, satisfying ending.
There were a couple of plotholes in the storyline, but on the whole it was very enjoyable.

| Incredible! Mixes the best from Legend of Zelda and Final Fantasy 7, which means a real great adventure where anything could happen! The animation has that good old feeling, when you know they have really given an effort. The story is wonderful and the total feel of the series is really topnotch. One of the best animes out there for people who like fantasy and adventures!!!

| Man, I was suprise after watching it..I did'nt expect it would be this good..I mean from epsode 1 until end i can't find any single flaw of it which is probably in my opinion it is a perfect anime ever made..this anime have the features of action, advanture, war, advance technology, historic setting, love and hatred..The story were planed perfectly and it feels like a conversion from a novel..I recommand that if u start watching first episode, please do finish it on that day because u will not able to endure your crave to see more of it..the ending is understanable and correlated to the story, therefore I give the value 8 according to most opinions..the ed song are wonderful and doesn't get bored..overall what I can say is, this anime is something u did'nt expect to be on the top notch..but it does proves..all what I can say is WOW!..
ps:I used to slagging off Studio Deen because they made one anime call Groove Advanture Rave..after relized that Studio Deen also create Eden Bowy, I take back all those bad words and start to appreciate this company..at least the y made this wonderful story.

| I hate to be the first who gives this anime bad ratings, but I just couldn’t get what was so good about this show. The only reason I continued to the point that I did (episode 16) is because it reminded me a bit of 'Trigun' and I thought maybe it will develop in the same way, plus someone recommended this to me so I figured he knows WTF he's talking about. Apparently not (looks down at GK_FF V.V >.< kono...)
This anime had some good moments, like episode 7,and the whole thing felt pretty good at atmosphere, but I felt that I didn’t know what the hell the show wanted from me, and that it was too formulaic: every 5 or so episodes, the "plot episodes" stop to give room to the "characters development episodes" and that just pissed me off, and episode 16 was the last straw, since I’ve waited, I think, 3 episodes for the damm plot to continue from where it left off (after xxxx grows wings >.>),only it didn’t, and yet again I had to endure another "character episode" about the other god hunter, and I just couldn’t take it anymore. This is truly a boring anime, and I’m not one that quit on an anime easily

| Not many people seen this series. Maybe they misunderstanding at the pictures or maybe thought it was old and boring. But it's not, acutally the first 10 ep. is kinda boring. All they do is explain all the stuff which usually others series explain at the end. The series got so much information that they have to explain it through out the story. Every ep. got atleast 1-2 new detail about the characters in the story or how the gods and human lives/break. The action begins around ep.12 then it go to regular mode, show the characters develop/loves each other and how they interact, etc.. There's some fanserice, but i think it made the series looks lighter. This series doesn't made you think, they all explain nicely in the early ep. all you need to do is to remember everything. This not like other stuff that just made you confuse for nothing lol.
Animation is ok. Sound is nice. Story is great.. it not perfect since I get so bored at first I want to stop watch it. character develop very well, and most of thing make sense(I still don't know who the parent of Yorn). I would re-watch this series again and make a family tree with all the chars name ^^ Really enjoys this series, kinda bit boring at first but it sure worth sticking to the end.
Everyone can watch this, the story got everything: Romance, Magic, Robots, Swordmanship, Angles, God, and of course castle in the sky. Watch it through the story and you'll know why everyone that watched this anime like it so much.

| Although not seen by many, this is a great anime! The animation is ok, and the sound is somewhat catchy. I found myself wanting to watch the next episode constantly to find out what happens. The characters are likeable and original, thanks to their seiyuu. I thought the story had more symbolism initially, but it doesn't and instead moves towards issues of destiny and determination. The Edens have similarities to Xenogears. This is a good series to pass the time.

i delayd it since i wanted to finish watching before putting it up but #APS weren't very nice and just stopped the release at episode 22 (of 26),

the BEST adventure show i have EVER seen.
it is so intense, from the first episode it just draws you in and there's no way you can stop. i watched each episode twice so it won't end quickly.
it definitely had working minds behind it, really my taste, i love it.

reminds me ALOT of Final Fantasy 7 (atmosphere, magic & science, complicated plot, angst characters - even the character design for both good and bad guys resembles - and how can i forget the super deformation?! ^_^).
in my opinion this show is so good it gives the feeling everything is actually happening right now.
there're even episodes where it's snowing! *_* suki.
everything is very detailed and you'll find out many many new things in a rewatch after you finished the whole show.
i had hard time connecting with the show's humor but eventually it did made me laugh. =)
i don't understand all who say the show is confusing, it is complicated but there's not one thing which isn't clear to me (in other words - the show makes me think but not get confused).

| I simply don't understand why this anime is so criticized. The first episodes are largely misleading, because as the series progresses the story becomes more complex and characters are developed. There are quite dramatic episodes too, even though I admit some of the comical scenes could have been removed. The animation quality is rather good, and Hiroko Kazui's design is top-notch. I'd recommend it to anyone who likes fantasy series, and even if you're disappointed by the first episodes...go on, you'll be pleasantly surprised.
