| DBZ GT is a continuation of where DBZ left off, where Goku goes to train with Uub. However, the storyline was anything but good and the way that the plot treats the characters was just detestable for me. Unless you've gone through all of DBZ and are itching for more, I wouldn't watch this. And even if you are itching for more, don't expect much.

| Dragon Ball with all of it's flaws was indeed a classic. Yet, Toei wanted a quick cash, got the license from Toriyama and continued a series that already ended on the manga aeons ago. What could you expect from the result? An horrible ending.
DBZ whore itself to the dead, so bringig DBGT was already a lost cause. It starts a lot like the old DB series but without the cool humour and scenes. Then the giant Beams are back again, and the DBZ style fights begin, and a pink tailed Gorila, SSJ4 appeared.
I don't consider GT canon of the series just because Toriyama didn't do it. GT is to be watched, but not to be loved. There are better animes out there

| I beleive DBZ didn't leavea stable ground for a sequel.At the start of DBZ freiza was said to be the most powerfull being in the universe and suddently many other stronger dudes appeared.So what was Goku supposed to fight in GT if the gods themselves where no match for him?And even if he died,even if the whole world was destroyed they could always restore them with the dragon balls.
But DBGT tried overcome all these and become a desent sequel for the dragon ball legend.
The first half (Bebi saga) is just something we've seen a million times,but in the second half (after the android 17 saga)things are starting to get intresting.
I can't imagine a better ending for Dragon Ball...

| It might be my glasses or something, but for me, Dragon Ball GT is just "more of the same". Sure, now you have so much more possibilities in terms of enemies... after all, it is the whole universe (or just galaxy?) that our heroes have to fight. And still they manage to fail at producing decent villains... bah.
Overall, this is just like a new season of Dragon Ball. There is very little inovation in terms of story... actually I can only think of one: that now, the heroes have a ship and can sail through the galaxy. As for rest you still have the endless fights, the search for the dragon balls (now with super-duper powers) and your average, everyday villains. Nothing new... and the added bonus of being boring. Really boring.

| A lot of people think this anime is dissapointment.I think its not a good anime,too-but i cant say it was so bad.
Most of the series is really boring,but,I think that there are a nice epsiodes also.The fight against "baby" is really interesting for example.

| What the hell? Dragonball GT is the worst of the Dragonball series. It ruined the entire concept of Dragonball and ruined the already ruined super saiyan legend. What the hell is with SS4? Nonsense, and these dragons?!? Hideous-looking and not even dragons half of them, they sure are messed up. Probably 95% of GT isn't even worth watching. Hell, I would not watch this again because it ruined the story, not that the story was good to begin with. Pan just annoyed me a lot. I expected a better character development but she's just the annoying version of little Gohan.

| Let's see what I can say about this. It certainly wasn't my best anime experience and it had it's good points and it's bad points.
Following my oh-so-general line of anime-reviewing, I shall start off with the technical part of the anime, the most unimportant stuff in other words.
The animation was superior in many ways to the previous DB experience. For a 199x show it has a pretty standard animation but mixed with the general DB fights...it's repetitive as Hell. The fights look good and all but there are episodes in which all you hear is "Ka-Me-Ha-Me-Haaaa!" so you can imagine what's going on in such episodes. But, unlike the previous two series of DB, in this one the fights are mostly shorter and more intense...I'll get back on the issue.
The sound was average to weak. There was the starting melody which is very nice but other than that...the voices are pretty bland and Goku can get irritating at times, Pan as well. Trunks was had good voice acting in my opinion. I liked the robot...stereotypical as hell with that annoying repeating sound but funny.
Story time...
What story? The anime isn’t exactly episodic but what story there is...it's crap. There are the first 30 episodes which follow a somewhat original DB quest for the Dragon Balls,. Bigger problems, faster solution...not much battling, just some humor. Nothing interesting either.
The second part of the anime it's the DBZ style...a lot of battles, with a lot of episodes. Very very disappointing...there are some sagas which are really unworthy of watching. There are some characters that come back for a new beating but mostly, everything is stretched out yet again.
The best part about the story is the ending of the show which is proof of excellent directing. It may be called tearful by some. Without that, there would really be no story to this anime.
The characters are the same style group. Plus a new SSJ transformation which adds a bit of flavor to the already bland Goku. There is some character interacting(duhh!...fights) but mostly, it isn’t focused on that.
The fights between the characters are good to extremely bad...
Goku ducking it out with Baby = good fight
Goku SSJ 4 with most of the other villains = bad fights
The fact that Goku is turned into a child again is a bit of a minus...we already have Goku as a full fledged adult, complex even, from the previous DB & DB Z series and this move was very bad in my opinion. It actually throws out the window everything that Toryiama accomplishes with Goku in DB and DBZ. Toryama's touch is missing in GT and that's sad.
Overall, this is an anime that could've been much much x n(< - insert number from 100000000 to infinity)better.
I enjoyed it to some extent but I wasn't satisfied to the full end. Plus that Vegeta here is actually a wuss...he's much better in DBZ as were all the characters. Quite disapointing even to the extreme DB fan.

| Absolutely one of the worst anime that I've actually seen through its entirety. Everything you hate about Dragon Ball is in here. The horrendously long and boring action scenes that will drag on for episodes, the overdramatic plot, the villains THAT JUST WON'T DIE.
The most telling part of how horribly excruciating this anime is was when my friend convinced me to give up my sleep until one of the main story arcs were completed (or main villain defeated). So, probably at least 15 eps and countless hours of lost sleep later (an all nighter), I was about to throw my friend's comp out the window.
Don't usually like reviews with personal information, but that was the best way to explain the ugliness of this anime.

| Weeell = ='' I liked the music. The opening song rocks and it was my small obsession. Yep, the music is nice.
Besides, the animation is quite good.
But let's be sincere- without Toriyama's hand there is no real DB. DBZ, as loong as it was, had a plot and let's say- it was quite enjoyable plot. But GT is too much.. they tried to explore something that had been explored in all ways and I got the impression that they just wanted to make as much money as possible. Maybe a bit harsh, but that's how it looks to me.
Anyways, it's not that bad, if you don't have anything else to do (and I mean total and complete lack of anything to do), just give it a try

| This is the worst of anime right here. Where the beginning of the show Dragon Ball, held much promise, all this is is riding the wave of popularity. This anime plays the role of amnesia and forgets everything that has happened in previous episodes to allow Goku to be the only plausible hero.

| Dragonball GT is based on the original story that Dragonball brought forth : the finding of Dragon balls, but this time its all across the universe.
There's nothing here that is new in terms of story style, fighting, basic idea of powering up like crazy, and lots of powering up like crazy. The only differences are the main characters /side cast, the 'bad guy', and the travelling across the universe.
As a result, Dragon Ball GT brings nothing new. If you were tired of Dragonball Z's repetitiveness, Dragonball GT is not for you. If you've not seen any Dragonball, I wouldn't watch this either since its kind of silly in many aspects and if you want to start watching Dragonball, look towards the older series.
Another qualm that I have with this series is the image of the SSJ4 (or was it 5?) and the final dragon boss. These two look like the funniest things ever and I really couldn't seriously watch the half gorilla half saiya people fight it out.
I think animation is too cartoony. Sound is plain. Nothing special overall. If you like Pan, though, then maybe you'll like GT. Otherwise, don't watch this.

| GT,s not as good as DBZ, and there are parts of DBZ i actually enjoyed, as hard as it is for me to believe. I sounds story and value's totally crap. Something evil comes and jacks the saiyan power as usual because they are all pussies who can't beat them with their own power, and goku goes and saves everyone's sorry asses. The earth's in danger no surprise there, but hey who cares, there's always tons of dragon balls to revive everyone and restore every planet right? Hell i haven't even finished watching the anime but how "unpredicable" can it possibly get.
I did always like the character interactions, or whatever they had of it when they are not fighting. kinda makes me wish every epi is just happy go lucky for the saiyan families on earth. I gave enjoyment a 10 because it was just hilarious, i mean oob, who was suppose to be red or black... depends on how you want to argue the anime, becomes one with buu and turns pink. When he goes back home, i really want to know what his family will think now they have a pink dude as their son. Also, after Baby (which was a ridiculous name for a bad ass evil guy to begin with, think about it "i will kill you for all you have done, baby!" that sounds so funny and wrong) was gone, they spent hell of a long time evacuation the people on earth, Goku almost died for the millionth time because of it, and 3 seconds after the earth blew up, the narrator goes and says "and afterwards the people of Namek used their dragon balls to restore earth and everything's back to normal again" so it's like ok, wtf.... what was all that for then? just so piccolo can die and let one set of dragon balls become stones? which wouldn't matter cause bad guys can just go to Namek for dragon balls now. Hell dragon balls on Namek can probably wish for piccolo and the other set back anyhow.
Anyways, it's hilarious how ridiculously planned out the whole story was, great for a laugh, horrible for value.

| A disappointing end to the DB franchise, the quality has slowly dipped throughout the series but now it is simply painful to watch. Save yourself the time and watch the original DB and DBZ, at least they were watch able at the start before they too started to become repetitive and suck.

| The final series, back one more time, a sad farewell for me, as I am a big DB fan. This was a big of a step backwards in terms of DB saga, DBZ was better than this I have to say, there’s a lot of kiddy stuff in this as well. Even Son Goku turned into a kid.
The whole anime was about traveling across the universe for the black dragonballs. And with only 3 of the familiar characters for a lot of this anime, it was quite boring.
The animation did improve a lot, characters though still didn’t change their looks that much which I liked. Quite nice animation in actions scenes as well.
Opening theme to this was fantastic I thought, and the use of sound was fairly good.
The only thing that came back once too much is the fact that Goku grew and grew in strength, sometimes just too unreal and lucky, this gives the characters somewhat of an invincible feeling for the audience which in the end, defeats the object of fighting.
Also one thing I regretted was that Goku and Vegeta never did have their final showdown in this…
A must again for dragonball fans, the finale may not be all it’s cracked up to, but the final episode in this left quite a deep mark in my memories. Not as good as DBZ, but well worth watching.

| Completely unwatchable. All the good characters from DBZ are now grumpy old men, except for Goku who turns into a 10 year old. Seeing what they did to Vegeta is unforgivable. Everyone I talk to liked Vegeta because he was an anti-hero. Not the usual goody-goody softy like Goku. But now? Yep, he's a watered down wuss, just like everyone else in dragonball gt. Story is the same as always, super villian vs. goku; hunt for dragonballs. This time there are new dragons, interesting. But none of the charm from the original series. Music is so bad it's not even funny. Doesn't fit at all. Watch DB or DBZ if you must but avoid this one at all costs.

| The style and quality of the animation is enhanced, and the designs are really cool. The soundtrack is also very cool and transmits emotions very well. But the story is really stupid (the serie begins with a long and boring search for the dragon balls in space), the characters lose the personality they had in Dragonball Z (Vegeta is the most afected in this matter) or are simply forgotten (Crilin, Picolo, Ten-shin-han or Yamsha), and the enemys are lightyears in carisma from other enemys like Freezer and Cell. The absence of Akira Toriyama's hand can really be seen.

| OUCH! To an 8-years and running dbz fan like me, this saddened me to no end. For anyone who likes dbz like I do, this was truly an embarrasment. I remember telling all my friends about how cool this series was gonna be because they were bringing back 17 and they would have super sayain 4. Well, after downloading all 64 crappy episodes, I can say that I was more than dissapointed. First off, when dragonballz ended... GOKU LEFT! Even though he was the main character, HE LEFT! There was no reason to bring him back; the heroes of GT should have been Trunks, Goten, and Uub. I wanted Gohan to be one too, but his stoooopid love for books and learning ruined him. And the whole ten years later thing, If your gonna have a series take place a decade in the future then IT'S TIME TO GET RID OF THE OLD MAIN CHARACTER! I mean goku was really strong and all, but when Akira Toriyama made trunks and goten fuse and become almost as strong as goku was, that was a sign that they were the future of the dragonball series (if there was even supposed to be one) should have rested on the shoulders of goten and trunks. So this is pretty much how dragonballgt breaks down.
CONS:
1. Goku's character COMPLETELY changed
for the worst.
2. Goku was the main charcter yet again.
3. Goku beat all the badguys in the
series.
4. Goku became a kid again.
5. Goku had to collect dragonballs, yet
again.
6. Goku made a joke about being hungry
just about every episode.
7. Goku's character was very one
dimensional.
8. The fight scenes were a lot worse.
9. The animation did get worse
compared to the animation in the kid
buu saga.
10. The characters, motives and plots
were unoriginal and not even good.
11. Trunks, Vegeta, Goten, and Gohan
didn't do crap.
12. So many potholes in the story line.
13. Frieza? again???
14. It wasn't funny at all.
15. Same old save the world from billion
power level badguys.
16. Horrible music (american version).
17. It was not Akira Toriyama's idea.
18. Wasn't enjoyable to watch a horrible
show insult it's great predecesor.
19. PAN!!!
20. And The Biggest reason y dragonball
gt failed was becasue there was no
manga to go before it.
PROS:
1. Unlike most people, I actually didn't

Well it looks like I have 10 times the amount of cons as I do for pros. This says a lot. Dragonball gt ruined something good, what more can I say?

- Goku fights alone? selfishly? and bieng a child for the entire series? trunks has memories of Android 17?!
-the transformation of an ssj4 doesnt show, they just turn the cam away and then boom?!
-uubu,BRA,mr BUU,Gotenks,vegeta all had potential, why were they dumped aside?
-crapy "non violent" "1980's anime lips" villians?
-fight scences were actually Pokemon like fights?
just have to say, if there was indeed a dragon balls . i'd collect them and erase this chapter GT for good, and have a nice re start, with akira this time.

| This show suprised be by starting off OK. Not good, but more enjoyable that DBZ because it was based around adventure and not 50 episode fights. But after that it regressed into the same tired formula: fight for 10 episodes, one guy says "HA! now you'll see my true power!", fight some more, other guy says same thing, repeat over and over, then the good guy wins. This is BORING. I know its for kids, but compared with other kids stuff like One Peice and Naruto, this is lame. Its better than Z, but thats not saying much.

| Starts off a little mediochre, but after the occasionaly boring adventure around the universe and back to Earth to show becomes FANTASTIC! Well worth looking into if you enjoy great fights, hilarious characters & a bit of "Super Powers" that are caused by Ki rather then toxic leaks or some stupid cliche like that. Fans of DB & DBZ will love this as it is like a mixture of both of them!
