| A pointless, but watchable OVA based on a silly fighting game.
The ridiculous concept of waitresses fighting each other for fame and money (with the loser stripping her clothes off, no less) is the main burden of this show - the script-writers have obviously done their best to build some tension and develop the silly characters somewhat, but with such a concept, it doesn't help much.
The animation is generally poor by today's standards, but the plentiful fight-scenes are well choreographed and look rather good. I must also applaud some of the directional choices (pacing, cuts, camera-angles, etc.) that increase the excitement of the fights significantly. There's just one major flaw in the fight-scenes: soon after they have started to "kick in", they come to an abrupt halt and the characters decide to "shoot" each other with stupid energy-blasts. I can't think of a lamer way to finish a fight-scene, and it happens nearly every time. Not good.
The best part of Variable Geo is the music that is used very well to enforce the rhythm and feel of the scenes. The original Japanese voice-actors almost manage to make the ridiculous dialogue sound believable - not a small feat recalling the horribly stupid concept. Overall this has surprisingly good production-values, although the sound-effects are rather unimpressive.
In short: If you can overlook the dumb idea this is firmly rooted upon and don't mind seeing naked girls beating each other, you might find Variable Geo fairly enjoyable.

| the reason I watched this was because I had played the old snes game vg before, which, by the way, is a fiendishly hard game - I can't even get to the boss on the easiest mode. But enough about the game, I came across this anime, and saw that it only had 3 episodes, and thought I'd give it a go, even though it looks kinda crap.
The anime turned out to be even worse than I expected. vg: the martial arts tournament to determine the toughest waitresses?!? What the f*********???
With really awful quotes such as the attempted philosophical "I'd like to see the petals in the tea", the conversation is nothing to write home about, especially when they start to try and justify the reason they fight with such crap as "when I fight, I feel like I'm communicating with them, that's why I fight" Yea right. I absolutely HATE fighting animes that tries so hard to justify the fighting in it, cos it always turns out to be crap.
The story was shot full of holes as well, I don't get numerous aspects of it at all, such as that guy on drugs. And also, you'd expect people to get suspicious when they face up to an opponent with metal rods sticking out of her, wouldn't you. I mean, it was blatently obvious she was bloody cheating with all that power and metal rods coming out of her back glowing blue.
Finally, this is an action anime. And the action absolutely sucked. The fights never last long enough. All they do is throw a few punches and kicks, then they resort to using their own special power and blast their opponent away. The crash of power would result in one of them winning, and that would be it. Why did they even bother? THIS SUCKS!!!
This anime isn't just bad, it's ludicrously bad. Unless you're looking for cheap excuse for soft porn, then don't bother with this.
The one redemption for this anime is the fact that it's only 3 episodes long, so it wasn't too painful to watch - at least I don't have to sit through several hours of boredom like with Full Moon wo Sagashite.

| I know this stuff is very rare, but that doesn't mean it suck.
Variable Geo had two point base on other thing in life. First is poker strip. The rule in Geo fight is when you lost the match(if the level is high enough) you take your clothes off and show what ya got! Now the second point of this anime is really showed, Street fighter fighing style. Everybody got their own moved and differnt type of spirited blast. Our main heroine's special move can cure person's evilness and turn them to a good person(not new isn't it?). Be aware that this show is really echhi, or you can say it can turn to hentai in a differnt point of view. Interesting enough, this anime showed had some plot behind everything. That mean everything they do, they had a reasons for it. This is what make the story seem pretty good, and will keeping you stick to it till the end. Character match nicely, everyone got their own style of work. There no development, since it had 3 ova. Not a great anime, but it worth while watching it.

| When I got this one I knew it wouldn't be among the top ten animes but I decided to watch it anyhow. Well, let's just say that I had to force myself through most of it.
The plot is a thinly veiled excuse for constant fanservice with cleavage, bouncing breasts, upskirt shots and at times even full frontal nudity. And even then the fanserivce isn't all that it could be.
I've seen silly anime before but those have been silly fun, like Project A-Ko Photon and Amazing Nurse Nanako, not silly pointless like this one.
The characters are as stereotypical you can get; one cute, shy and busty (although they're all quite well equipped) girl, one silly, young, pouty cry-baby and the wise, intelligent, strong hero.
Add to this a number of what I found both rushed and quite cryptical plot points coupled with rather uninspired animation and voiceacting and you get something that you should avoid unless you haven't got anything else to watch.
If you're going to watch anime for the fanservice then watch something like Agent Aika or Amazing Nurse Nanako, then at least you'll either get it done the real way or have some fun while watching.

| Großbusige Kellnerinnen steigen in den Ring um herauszufinden wer die "taffste" von allen ist und die Verliererin muss ihre Kleidung ausziehen...*BWAHAHAHA* selten so gelacht... Na ja der Plot ist zwar mehr als lächerlich aber als Gegenleistung bekommt man viel nackte Haut zu sehen wenn sich unsere Kellnerinnen mit Händen und Füßen die Kleider vom Leib reissen, das ist ja immerhin schon mal was. Die Kämpfe sind gar nicht mal so übel nur leider viel zu kurz und nach nur kurzem Schlagabtausch ist das ganze schon gelaufen. Wirklich schade denn die Animationen der Fights können sich schon sehen lassen. Story und Charaktere sind kaum erwähnenswert, schließlich handelt es sich hier hauptsächlich um Fanservice und dann sinds auch noch nur 3 Eps, das lässt schon an sich wenig Spielraum. Wie auch immer, Fans von halbnackten Schönheiten die sich gegenseitig weich prügeln kommen auf ihre Kosten.

| Variable Geo is originally based on a hentai fighting game. The anime and game both share the same rather shallow story. Waitresses fighting for a prize purse with the loser of the match having to take off her clothes in front of the crowd. As you can guess from the subject matter the title is primarily fanservice material, and people who aren't into lots of bouncing breasts and clothes being ripped off should probably look somewhere else. While not a great title, fan service junkies will probably enjoy this shallow, though amusing trip.
