| After 145 minutes of watching Macross the Movie it leaves a sense of nostalgia of how the old animes of the 80's were made. Though the movie's final message of peace sounds simple one has to watch the whole movie to grasp it fully.
I barely remember the original series but this movie is a nice addition to the Macross anime.

| Macross II the movie was a decent anime movie. There is the right amount of action balanced with a love story. The main character Hibiki was cool because he actualy has the guts to go into battle despite not being a fighter. If you want to know more about this decent Macross movie read my review.

| The anime is not that good. The drawing is unpolished and the story is dull. Not that much of what a movie should do. Just rent this movie-the replay value is none here.
It clearly is a stand alone movie design to kill the big robot/fotress of macross.
Using music as a weapon is not a very good concept. The enemies must be bored to death.
