Wow, a DBZ film that actually fits somewhere into the series without having to subtract tens of episodes to do it. Bojack Unbound comes in between the Perfect Cell saga and the first Buu saga, that being quite a plus. One word that could easily sum up the film: BASIC!
Animation wise it’s at the exact same level as the last sagas of DBZ: same repetitive scenes, same fighting, same everything. NOTHING is out of the ordinary on this chapter. The sound is horrible. The music is bland and the Japanese voices kind of wear on one’s nerves.
The story...as usual: bad guy, big boom, dead bad guy. The fact that it is set SOMEWHERE in the series is a plus comparison with the other films that were released. There are some good scenes like Vegeta’s entrance but, unfortunately, too few to give the movie any redemption. The ending brings something like a samurai anime and that’s also nice. The rest looks like a supped up version of the Perfect Cell saga only with a much more stupid solution. And yes, it is forced into the action.
As characters: Vegeta works, Picollo works but both are underused. All the characters are the same and the bad guys are so basic that it hurts to watch them. Pure evil and all that shit, it’s nice that they are somehow like the saiyans: they transform and one of them brings very much like a combination between Trunks and Brolly and another is a strengthtened version of Android 18, with the exact face and motion tick of stroking her hair; weak negative characters...very weak. I was extremely disappointed in Bojack and his, moronic, defeat and in everything concerning the characters here. Their defeat was painful to watch as well because of its sheer simplicity after a whole film that announced something grand.
(The rating for characters is given based on the bad-guys alone because the good-guys are developed and worked out during the series)
I won’t watch this again and most certainly it was not enjoyable; basic DBZ action with no brain and nothing more. One of the worst DBZ films (yes, I realise that most are crap but a couple are actually worth seeing).

Bojack was the enemy here, who had these group of fighters that crashed into the tournament while the others were actually appointed to be in it such as Gohan, Trunks and Kuririn. It’s funny of how those aliens were getting in by replacing the fake looking ones. Of course, it had similar story to the perfect Cell form by the original story; except that the enemies in this one were somewhat interesting to the ongoing plot. It was probably not really a great watch, yet not being too bad of a movie. But the ending of it, of which you'd know who will probably win eventually. Just don't expect a great deal or even slightly change with this story, and something new compared to the other movies.

This DBZ movie has to be one of the coolest ones out of the 13. Lots and lots of action. The story seemed kinda rushed but it was still not so bad, a bunch of super powered aliens come down to cause chaos by sneaking into the tournament where our heroes are at. Unfortunetly, since this took place after cell fight (which is good that the movie has some kind of place during the series), no son-gokou.. =(

Good points, same old animation, not bad but not best. Still the nice old sounds/music. The crazyiness of the characters, Trunks, gohan, vegeta, piccolo, and the others put up some mad fight in this.

Bad points, Wasnt that much bad points at all cept for personal opinions which I won't get into. Very fun, very intersting, go watch it, lots of action!

Auch einer der DBZ Movies die mir alles in allem recht gut gefallen haben, gut die Story ist nicht sonderlich innovativ, wie immer halt, aber die Fights machen das wett. Und zum Glück steht Goku mal nicht im Mittelpunkt...
