| This is probably the best that DBZ has to offer. I mean it, this is what DBZ movies want to be but fall a very long way from achieving that goal.
Why is this particular movie good even though it's still treating the same old "battle to the death of the bad-guy rutine"? It's simple: the film is enjoyable. Let me explain:
1. The animation is the best I've ever seen in a DBZ film. The fighting is perfectly dozed, perfectly tuned and made into a rythm. There is a bit of style difference here...it's a bit cartoonish but it hits the feel right on the head.
2. The sound is average...I can't call it better or worse than before. No comments here.
3. The is no story. Just a little devlin getting pumped up with all the might of a demon overlord and becomes Janemba. In it's first form it stupid beyond belief...but the second is a blood-thirsty demon. A psycopath, a fighting machine, an invincible beast of the after-world. Goku and Vegeta fight together and, together with Pikon, offer some great humoristic moments, especially with the incomplete fusion.
This movie was damn enjoyable. It was fun-filled, action-pumped...it was a good movie which I could re-watch if time permits. It's good seeing something decent from DBZ once in a while(decade).

| This fits in nicely with my theory that the DBZ movies are getting shitter with each new one. This one one manages to hit a new low.
I must have missed something in one of the earlier dbz movies that I didn't watch, for in this one, all the people from the old generation characters such as Goku and Vegeta appear to be dead, or maybe it's meant to be set in the future... who knows O_o.
This was just soooo boooring. I can't believe they made this into an almost an hour long film -_-.I watched through most of this movie in a kind of trance. They appear to be trying to carve out some sort of orginal comedy storyline which turns out to be really bizarre, in a bad kind of way. DBZ always seemed to be quite a childish anime, but this one takes it to a brand new level. The attempted comedy and storyline (hell, or whatever that place is, gets frozen in some sort of jelly bean, with a big baby as boss...) all shows that the anime has sunken to a brand new age group. Although I have to admitt I chuckled at some of the comedy, like the fusion poses lol, but most of it was pretty shite.
It's a change from the usual DBZ. But unfortunately the result is something worse.

| Fairly too average for a movie. It had a lot of similarities to the Buu story, but with Vegeta helping Goku instead of being sworn rivals. It even had all of the enemies that were from the previous storyline which I thought was quite a surprise when they didn't really have so much of an important role to the storyline in the first place. It also seemed like it had more humor on it than being an action film, with Goten and Trunks who were mostly the comic relief during its side plot. It will feel too similar if you have read or watched the original story, even when they tried to make it so different with the fusion from both of those two. And also aside from the fact I didn't like that ending theme song, the entire story itself wasn't too bad; yet it was not that good for making itself a worthwhile movie.

| This is my most favorite Dragonball Z movie because it brings in all the characters at their peak. Instead of focusing on pointless power ups, there are a lot more character interactions than usual in the series.
For example I loved it when the super hero Gohan form kicked Freeza's butt so easily, Goku and Vegeta at their best (when they don't go change into the unbelievable SSj5million) and Pikehan is a good support character, better than that of Piccolo imo because of his weird behavior lol.
The fighting is super enjoyable and I love the Jamenba enemy. He's hilarious and the fighting is totally engaging and enjoyable. The place where they fight in is hilarious as well with all those weird marbles. When he changes into that other form, he's even more ominous and Jamenba is definitely the most bad ass enemy they've met.
I don't think it matters that it doesn't fit into the story of the series. This is a hardcore fighting anime for those who love DBZ fighting style
I will even go as far to say that those who don't like DBZ might like this.

| This is a nice one.Alot of action and humor (the fat gogeta,goten and trunks beat the crap outta hitler).But,this movie was annoyinly not fitting the plot of the tv show.With other movies you could fit it somwhere with a few changes,but this one just fits nowhere.Just annoying.
I kinda like how they presented vegeta in here,but it seemed like they made him overly sensitive.oh well.

| Ok, there is pretty much no plot to this story. Janemba is there simply as an excuse so that Goku and Vegeta can fight and fuse and fight. However, there's simply an irresistable charm to this film that no other DBZ film has. Maybe it's the ultra strong Gogeta; maybe all those flatulence gags thrown in finally made me laugh; maybe it's Trunks and Goten beating up on a Hitlerish looking guy...
Who knows? There's just something about it...

| Ok, slightly better than most of the DBZ movies, but still not all that good. Once again the movie doesn't tie in with the TV series. It's odd though. When Goku & Vegeta try to fuse into Gogeta, it's as if they never did it before, when they obviously did it during the Buu saga. Overall, not nearly as bad as some of the other DBZ movies (*ahem* The BROLLY movies), but not that good of a movie at all.

| OK, so after passing out from boredom in the audiance watching the 3rd Broilli movie (read my review on it for more details), now your ready for something new (woot!). This one's pretty fun, 2 dead powerful super saiya-jins beating the fuck out of a demon while in hell ^_^, I know..it does sound tempting to pick up..
Good points, As usual, everything was fine with animation/sounds/character. We had no big problems with new whores joining, though i couldn't help but bust a gut when pikon found it easier to curse at the barrier to break it ^_^. Story wasnt all bad either, it was a dead guy only deal, plus you get to see some bad boys from the past jump into earth, the hitler deal was HILARIOUS, omg..so funny how they just decided to throw in hitler into the world to have fun with goten and trunks.
Bad points, nothing really, original at least, and not bad at all, I reccomend it ^_^

| If you watch any Dragonball Z movie its gotta be this one. This movie actually has plot! and its dbz whoa those don't even go together. The Animation is great as always and the music is good along with movie ending song is cool too. Greets out to Kageyama on that one. Now back to review The Characters you love like vegeta for most part are there with some new characters thrown into the mix like janemba the villian who is one scary villian to try to mess with. He goes in and out so many times you wont be able to keep up. You'll value this movie if you buy a dbz movie let it be this one. Enjoyment wise i liked this movie and found it funny at times and enjoyed the fights of course.
Trunks and Goten attacking hitler's army was funny.
