| I really enjoyed this series. It was funny, as well as a little sad at times. The characters were fun and not to be taken seriously, the music was out-of-this-world and I must admit to enjoying the "perfect" ending.
I can't say it's one of the best series I've seen, but it was very enjoyable and worth a watch.

| I only seemed to like the characters and most of its music back then when I was watching it. Other than that, the storyline was fairly less memorable. I thought that Carrot was the only amusing character, for his extreme hyper persona that keeps him going. The other characters were somewhat fine, but were less memorable as it was given some involvement of the whole story. Fun one though, I might have to watch it again sometime.

| Before I started watching this anime, I thought it would be a crap! But no, it's not. Actually, this show makes sense. Not just because of the pretty female characters on this anime, but also because of the action scenes.

| Erase una vez un chico muy majo y muy pervertidoooooooooo que junto a un mago, un guerrero y 2 chicas sadomasoquistas castigabanm a quellos magos malvados que subyugaban a la poblacion.
Podria ser este el argumento pero no; el argumento es que erase una vez un chico muy majo y muy pervertidoooooooooo que intentaba ligarse a todas las chicas del planeta aunque al final siempre ababa soltero.
Realmente el 90% de la serie es eso, las payasadas de Carrot que por otra parte bienvenidas sean porque todos somos un poco como Carrot, mensajeros del amor.
Realmente me diverti mucho viendo esta serie y ademas cuando empezaba a hacerse monotona con tanto capitulo de paja pega un cambio radical cambiando de la comedia a una historia de tragedia y amistad.
El final me parecio adorable lastima que no hubieran dedicado mas capitulos a la trama principal. No pasara a la historia pero desde ahora tengo un nuevo superheroe y no es superman, se llama Carrot el superheroe al que no se le resiste ni una sola mujer XD:)

| The biggest problem with Sorcerer Hunters were the characters. The two girls were annoying in their normal state (especially Tira, that voice was horrible) and after transforming they were even worse. During battles I just thought: "Wish the bad guy would win so they would shut up..." It's not a good sign. The guys were little better, though Carrot's endless quest for women lost its punch after ten episodes.
The big story is interesting enough, but there are too many let's-take-on-a-sorcerer episodes. With interesting characters it would have been ok, but now the annoyance level was simply too high. I liked how the last episode turned out (proved once again: the less clothes you wear, the stronger you are).
Animation looks pretty outdated but opening and ending songs weren't too bad. With better characters this show would have been good, now it requires work to finish it.

| Sorceror Hunters is an action/comedy/fantasy anime. The story is not the greatest but, it does not detract from thwe enjoyment recieved from this show. The comedy is pretty good because of main character Carrot's relentless pursuit of women. (which he does at the expence of some of their mission objectives). I believe this show is worth watching despite a so so story if you would like to know why read on.

| Good show to watch if you haven't seen that much anime. However, if you have seen a lot of recent anime then this anime might feel too old and dated.

| I loved this series. Despite making me hungry all the time due to the food related names, it was great. The characters were done beautifully, it made my laugh, and the voice actors were great.

| Manche Leute behaupten dass sich Bakuretsu Hunters auf ähnlichem Niveau wie The Slayers befindet und da Slayers zu meinen Lieblingsserien zählt wollte ich mir diesen Anime nicht entgehen lassen. Natürlich habe ich nicht erwartet das Bakuretsu Hunters besser ist aber ich habe mir zumindest gute Unterhaltung versprochen. Na ja um nicht länger drumherum zu reden: Es ist mir schier unbegreiflich wie man dieses Wrack mit dem Kultfantasyklassiker in einem Satz nennen kann. Bakuretsu Hunters ist so dermaßen schlecht und langweilig das sich bei mir von Episode zu Episode immer stärker werdender Brechreiz bemerkbar machte. So krass hat mich seit Run=Dim kein Anime mehr genervt, nicht einmal der Ausdruck "Slayers für Arme" wäre hier gerechtfertigt! Wo fange ich am besten an? Ach ja die Story, was man hier geboten bekommt ist erst einmal lange Zeit gleich 0 und man wird mit einem komplett episodischen Verlauf abgespeist. Das ist nicht unbedingt schlecht wenn die Episoden sich unterhaltsam darbieten, sei es durch sympathische Charaktere oder guter Comedyeinlagen, das hat schließlich auch bei Slayers vorzüglich funktioniert. Doch Bakuretsu Hunters strauchelt hier und fällt schon nach wenigen Episoden böse aufs Gesicht: Die Comedy ist einfallslos und simpel, 90% aller Gags präsentieren sich nach dem gleichen Schema und wiederholen sich permanent. Es gibt nichts Schlimmeres als schlechten Humor der der Monotonie nach allen Regeln der Kunst zum Opfer fällt und genau das ist hier der Fall. Charaktertechnisch gibt sich die Serie ebenso matt, unsere Helden haben über 90% der Serie weder Tiefe, noch zeigen sie Entwicklung. Hinzu kommt das mir der komplette Cast SEHR heftig auf die Nerven ging und ich somit nicht mit einem einzigen Charakter sympathisieren konnte. Erst in den letzten 4 Episoden bekommt man tiefere Einblicke in die Figuren und auch eine Story ist auf einmal präsent, besser spät als nie dürfte man meinen aber selbst das konnte bei mir nichts mehr retten zumal von Originalität und Innovation jede Spur fehlt. Mein Fazit: Großen Bogen um dieses Häufchen Elend machen und Slayers gucken oder irgendeinen anderen Fantasy-Anime, alles ist besser als Bakuretsu Hunters!

| Bakuretsu Hunters was one of those animes everyone was expected to have seen in the mid-90s, and sadly, it hasn't aged well at all.
The rather formulaic, and often more than a little boring episodes just don't live up to the hype. Take your basic swords and sorcery type world, give them episodic heroic things to do that somehow lead to an epic storyline, add liberal dosages of cheesy comedy and a few oversexed main characters, and there you go. There's actually quite a few touching storylines in the morass of it all, but despite the frenetic music and the outlandish characters, the series as a whole just gets kind of boring. I never finished the entire thing, and I doubt I ever will.
On the other hand, the music vocals found a permanent place in my heart years ago, although arguably they're also very dated. The character designs as well are quite unique and well-designed, although, of course, cheesy.

| Bakuretsu Hunters, or Sorcerer Hunters as it's sometimes known, is a nice blend of the familiar with the unexpected. It combines a cast of fighters and a slew of adventures with a personal and comedic touch, giving the show real personality and breaking free of cookie-cutter characters and adventures.
The story is pretty standard, but it's the execution that makes it so great. A group of five, known as the Sorcerer Hunters, journey from land to land, freeing the people from the evil Sorcerers ruling over them. Along the way a bigger threat comes along, giving direction to the series. Plenty of laughs, mystery, action, adventure, and even romance fill the group's adventures.
The character designs are excellent, exciting, and fun. The cast has become rather famous over the years, and for good reason. There's Carrot Glasse, the woman loving idiot. Maron Glace, his slightly 'different' magic using brother. Dota the angelic girl and Gateau, the body builder strong man. And then there's Tira and Chocolate, who are perhaps the most interesting characters of the bunch.
Tira and Chocolate both chase after Carrot throughout the show, but unlike many animes Carrot actually has a reason to flee for his life. Tira and Chocolate seem very mild mannered, but go through a spiffy transformation that turns them into full on babes and fighting machines, with a love for S&M. It's one of the series best traits, and used well.
While there are a lot of action/comedy animes out there, there are few that are as laugh out loud funny as Bakuretsu Hunters. This anime is just gut busting at times, more often than not. The action is really good overall, but the story is far more well rounded than most of this type. Although based on the manga and with plenty of random episodes, the TV series feels like a complete package with a great ending.

| Fan service for both men and women alike, with a bunch of humor, and a cheesy, at times lame story. Its not my favorite series by any stretch, but it was still a decent series. It also happens to be my younger sister's favorite anime (and she's seen well over 50 different animes) so if your really into the humor and character designs (she adores Maron to an unhealthy degree) I would defiantly recommend it. If not its still an alright watch if you can find it for cheap.

| The first DVD of episodes was good. After that they just kept repeating the same scenes in different environments. The ending wasn't too enjoyable for myself either.
A plot was only introduced during the second half of the series and even then it wasn't anything to be drawn into. This was the first anime that I painfully sat through to the end. I had such high hopes after the first couple episodes that I couldn't believe how poor the ending was.

| What started off to be your typical repetitive fantasy series actually ended up suprising me in the end by turning intp something great. It's not that I didn't like the first 20 or so episodes, they had their moments but for the most part they weren't anything to remember. I wasn't until the true antagonist of the story appears that Bakuretsu Hunters begins to shine. And shine it did all of a sudden characters have depth, the plot finds a direction to move toward and the story and how events are played out is superb. For me this was about the biggest 180 you can pull. It is interesting becasue most series tend to do the opposite, and taper off toward the end after a good start. If you sit through the 20 or so episodes till the story gets good you won't be disappointed.

| Honestly, I was rather dissapointed with this. You could probably skip the first 20 episodes and still get as much out of the end of the series as someone who watched the entire show. It's sad too because the ending is pretty good and the way the final 6 episodes carry onto eachother is great...too bad they couldn't have made more of the series like that.
Bakuretsu does have its good moments, funny jokes, and amusing atmosphere, but it lacks more in the story department then it deserves.

| Ah, the joy of watching the same thing over and over and over again.
Four eps was all i could stomach, then i just wanted to reach out and punch Carrot in the face.
Somebody else mentioned before that this series first impressions promises alot, and that is true. The first ep was really funny, and left me wanting more. The second ep was also fun, but to a lesser degree.. and it all want down from there.
Perhaps some time in the future when im incredibly bored and broadband-less, ill watch some more of the eps but as it stands now, nothing short of threats of bodily harm could make me want to watch this series again.

| Well, being a fan of Akahori Satoru I really can't be partial on this. I personally think it's a greatly enjoyable anime, although as most of Satoru's stories, it can get sometimes slightly ecchi for some people's tastes, I still belive it is great.
It is fun to watch, and keeps you on the story, the characters are interesting, and so is the background history of each.

| Classic example of an anime that is not nearly as good as it looks. Bakuretsu Hunter promises a lot, with good character designs and a plot that could run on and on and on if it wanted to....
But somehow every episode just turns into a succession of the same tired old jokes, average plots and too much Carrot being Carrot, much to the detriment of anything that could vaguely keep me watching.
In fact, there are a lot of, what I would term as, empty moments: where nothing much of any interest happens simply because if something DID happen, the ending would arrive about 15 minutes too early. When you have plots that, on an episodic level, need to be stretched out, you know you have a problem.
Nor is the ecchiness of the tv series particularly ecchi, in this day and age, anyway. And if you want ecchiness from BH, go get the oav. If you want ecchiness per se, try any number of tv series from 2002/03.
When compared to the manga, the BH tv series is one long cop out. Even the convention of having a plot to justify the series ending looks tired and old, here, which is saying something for a show as relatively old as this one....

| This is one of my fav animes because it is just so damn fun to watch! The characters are unique and so cool, the music is cool, the story is very interesting, although the ending is questionable. I own this series on dvd, and will always keep it, and watch it over and over again.
