For kids ONLY. Anyone over the age of 13 cannot possibly enjoy this. Those who do shall be mocked for the rest of their lives. Anyway... this ones gonna be real quick. Middle of the road animation. You got ur flashing backgrounds, and a few added computer generated effects.Annoying repetetive music (complete with the worst opening theme I've ever heard). The story is by far the worst though. The bad guys, Russians, hahaha, want to take over the world... WITH SPINNING TOPS!!? Why just bomb them you stupid sons of.... never mind. Garbage plot. They go from tournament to tournament, bad guys come, they win, game over. Characters could be thought of by an 8 year old (Maybe they were...) Overall, an unenjoyable piece of crap. Enjoy kiddies.

(Review contains a little profanity.)

Not very good. Mostly because the story is lacking and the characters seem a bit...frustrating.

Animation: The artwork is really creative, I appreciate that. The beyblade scenes look pretty nice. But they are extremely repetitive, and some of the animations look kind of cheap.

Sound: The voice actor's sound really good, realistic and stuff. The music? Not something I appreciate much, in fact, it sounds very...how can I put this?
Generic. Yeah... sort of like it came from a garage band.

Story: Now this is the part which makes me tilt my head multiple times. Most things are very unexplained, sort of like...
You write something down on a piece of paper and then it just comes true without any logical explanation to back it up.
Yeah. Basically the beyblade gives them "powers" or something, and I find it ridiculously stupid that they get hurt while playing.
It's a hobby which doesn't involve you getting shocks of electricity, punches, or anything like that. I mean, I can understand fatigue, but that doesn't necessarily get you bruised up. And yet they seem to go all "omg that hurts" on the show when no physical contact has been made whatsoever.
And what's even MORE idiotic (later in the show, which I think is in G reveloution or whatever.) is that some orginization would hurt kids, KIDS of all things for a little disk thingy that will supposedly "take over the world" or whatever impossible thing they can think of that you can do with a literally ORDINARY object. Cripes, just horrify everyone with your own "unbelievably strong" beyblade, that'll probably scare humanity - they'll be afraid of the intelligence to come in the near future.
So the story is SUX.

Character: Although I found a few interesting, there was no development and they were all kind of shallow and weak. Takao is always high and mighty, which is annoying after a while.
Kai is the best, yet still is annoying with no character development, and his mysterious shiyat is really dragging when it comes to unveiling.
Kyoujo is just one of the over-rated "computer guy" or as I always put it bluntly, NERD, that petty much does nothing but increase and support the "almighty tough man" Takao.
Max is pretty cool. Too bad whenever he's in a fight with Takao he can never come up with a decent argument. If you ask me, he should of just kicked Takao's ass just to teach him a lesson.
Rei is hot, but annoying. To be honest, even though he is the voice of reason in the little gang, he is really bland most of the time.
Basically most of the characters are shallow and kind of dumb.

Value: I would'nt watch this twice, it's unlogical and will leave you baffled by it's bullshit.

Enjoyment: I liked some episodes of the anime, mostly the ones when Takao got his balls kicked up his ass. But otherwise, most of it isn't worth watching.

OK, so it seems like a kids show at first glance, and well, it is. Yet you can't deny its really enjoyable. Just because its a kids show doesnt mean it deserves low ratings. It's not embarassing to watch it either. And anyway, the animation is way better than most kids show, like well, Pokemon. That was bad.

Loads of people watch beyblade. Loads of people don't admit the watch it, or if they do, don't admit they enjoy it. Yet, the follow the series till the end. Wow.

Oh yeah. And I think all everyone apart from the main charcters is drawn pretty well too, not like most animes where everyone else looks disgusting. I eally enjoyed the episodes with robert, johnny, oliver and enrique where in, altho ive no idea how to go about spelling their names...

It's a kids show, but it really deserves more credit. So what if theyre just using it to get us to buy the beyblades? It's good. The shows good. Thats all that matters.

I watched most of this Anime hoppng it wasn't as bad as it looked like. I was wrong.

The problem of this show is not if it has a good or bad story, it is that it doesn't make you believe.

In Rurouni Kenshin there are guys that move faster than the human eye can see; in YugiOh there are fights between monsters that sprout out of cards; in Ranma 1/2 there is a guy that changes into a woman when splashed by cold water.

The difference between the afore mentioned series and Beyblade is that they make you believe that such things are possible. The creators of Beyblade simply wanted to make a toy seller Anime.

Even if some guys out there want to justify Beyblade by saying it is an anime for kids, there are anime for kids out there way better than Beyblade.

If you want to watch a good Anime for kids try "Wagamama Fairy Milmo de pon". Like Beyblade, I saw Milmo hopping it wasn't as bad as it looked like, but unlike Beyblade, I really enjoyed watching Milmo.

This is another one of those hobby/sport anime in which ordinary toys sprout a mind of their own and are used in huge tournaments by people who just want to be the best. It's been overly done with anime such as "Yu-Gi-Oh", "Legendz", and to a lesser degree, "Pokémon" and "Digimon". The dubbed version uses way too many pop culture references and what I term "pointless humor", in which a character says something completely random that's supposed to be funny, often during a serious situation. It detracts from the overall plot and seems to aim the series more towards those who are easily amused. Humor is well and good, but not in serious situations. Because of that, I had a hard time really getting into this anime.

The people here are not aware of the people--I mean the fans of this show--that might get hurt by the harsh words said aginst the show, especially by the fact that you call them "stupid". I am one of them, and much as I am aware that this show is not that good and it will get dipped into hot water by the "elitist otaku", I am greatly offended by the statement that people who watch this show is STUPID.

First of all, this anime is made for KIDS. Sorry if it doesn't suit your "high standards of storytelling", but if you don't like the thing then just don't watch it, rather than insulting people who watch it and like it...

And why do I like this "Piece of crap"? It's simply because I like the presentation, period. A convoluted plot is not the only reason why someone likes a show. Personally, I'd go for this show rather than those "dark, no-hope" stuff mainstream otaku like nowadays....

wow it seems everyone hates beyblade in here. lol. But I'm not surprised....I'm not a fan of this show at all as well.

First of all using tops to take over the world is just stupid. Btw how do u do that??? Do ppl actually think that beyblades can stand up to things like a nuclear missile?? lol

Another thing about beybleades that is really bothering me is, r the characters like psychic? Do they control the beyblades with their minds??? or is that launcher thing they hold a controller of some sort..and why do they always start panting and become out of breath after a match???? The players do nothing but stand there and watch their tops. But it always seems like they ran a marathon after each match..Obviously this is NOT intented for older ppl but for little kids and i mean LITTLE kids. Seriously there r so many flaws/bugs/mistakes/or w/e in this anime its not even funny. This show needs a LOT more rewrites. (but it'll prob still be dumb after the rewrites)

All in all, its a horrible anime....but hey I'm sure the creators dun mind what ppl think...as long as kids start buying beyblades thats all that matters....also i dun see whats so fun bout beyblades all u do is watch them spin and bounce of each other.....wow that sure is fun (sarcasm)...

Yet an another show, which aired on lithuanian TV. As a rule, shows, which air there are all more or less horrible. Fortunately, Beyblade is an invincible champion of being the crappiest show ever, even on my country's TV. It's truly a work of a genius, I mean, it must not be so easy to make every part of the show, even the smallest one so crappy that the audience with weaker stomaches could puke.

The show is obviously aimed at the younger audience, somewhere between years of 3 - 9. Yet I wouldn't recommend that show even for them. Who knows what disease could this brainwashing show trigger. If a child of that age will like this show, he'll definitely want to buy that beyblade toy, in turn throwing his parents' money away. This show is nothing more but a long, nerve-wrecking commercial. On the other hand, I've seen commercials which have been better than this.

Surprisingly, the animations of this cartoon are not so bad. That are quite detailed and actually look like something from the twentieth century.

The sounds are not so bad too. For a cartoon series, this was quite impressive.

You find yourself watching this cartoon yet realizing that there is no story. There only real parts of this cartoon is the beybattling.

Unusual for a cartoon series, you actually learn about each of the characters. They're not only skin deep and they make you realize that they are human too... but over exagerated

What is the point of this...

You can get sucked into the fun of watching the spiny thingy hitting eachother. But most of the time, its just a complete pile of dog poop

To hardcore Beybladers, their world revolves around Beystadium where the battle for supremacy is played out. Each Beyblade is as unique as its owner, involving the custom assembly of five key parts - the Bit, Attack Ring, Weight Disk, Spin Gear and Blade Base. The only way to see whose "Beyblade" has the ultimate power is to match them up for battle!

Mystical powers lie within the Bits for those who can evoke their special energy. The power of the Bit Beast comes from ancient beasts, such as dragons, bears and monkeys that come to life within the Beyblade and in turn create an incredible fighting force making these unique Beyblades virtually unbeatable. Those that do use their special power become exceptional combatants. Can you activate your Bit Beast?

My opinion:

The series starts of exiting, a new anime that aims for a younger audience without any monsters like previous shows (Pokémon, Digimon, etc ...) It's something completely different. But as the series make progress, you discover that the top beybladers use special beasts in their blades and the battles are more about those beasts that are fighting instead of the actual blades. For me, yet another pokémon spinoff is born. How more the series evolve how more the story gets lamer. In a certain point, the pitbeasts are stolen and will be used for world domination. That was really the most amusing thing of all.

The main characters are nicely fit in a team, you have the strong and quit type, the serious and calm type, the geek with the computer and a leader with a too big ego. So yet again it proves to offer enough stereotypes. The only thing I like off beyblade, are the beyblades that come free with a bag of chips. The toys are actually far better then the show, like pokémon the merchandise is the only good thing about the anime.

ugh.... I thought pokemon and digimon were bad. But this sh1t...
If you have any doubts about how bad this "anime" (if thats what you want to call it)is, then allow me to explain.

First the plot is one of the stupidest i've seen. Take pokemon, change the creatures into tops, and multiply the crappyness by 50X and you've got beyblades. C'mon! Spinning tops? There is a complete lack of plot devlompent and each episode is "beyblade fighting". The battles are plain stupid to. They mainly consist of the tops ramming into each other.... bump....bump.....bump...
WOW! *sarcasm* thats soooo cool. "The object of the game is for Beybladers to knock each other's gyroscopes, which are about an inch and a half in diameter, off a plastic playing surface. The loser of the match has to forfeit his or her gyroscope to the victor.".... uhuh.... talk about excitment.

The charectars idiocy give digimon a run for its money. And there is a lack of charectar devlopment as well. I found no reason to watch this. Only reason anyone would enjoy this is if they are a stupid little kid like my brother. Its still kinda fun to watch it and make fun of its retardedness, thich i do when ever its on.

I usually have a high tolerance for kid-oriented shows, but this one is truly isn't that great. The characters make Beyblade their life and think that playing Beyblade they will heal the hearts of everyone. And what I mean by that is when they play someone(usually during a tournament) the person thinks that no one cares, and then we hear his/her life story, and they say "I'll be your friend" and then they cry and do their best(and usually loss). Take that and reply it in several different ways and you got the characters/plot in a nutshell. This is actually a bad kid-oriented show.
The Opening Japanese Theme song to Beyblade is funny XD
