Card Captor Sakura: The Sealed Card fills the place of where volume 6 of the manga would have been. It is the anime version of the ending-, which involves Sakura confessing her feelings to Syaoran. What a better way to do it than a movie? In the manga, since all the cards had been found, there was little more mystery and action to be shown. It ends on more of an emotional note. The movie takes the parts we loved about the TV series – cool fight scenes, finding a new card- and mixes action with the emotional aspects. It is a more elaborate sequence than the manga, but an entertaining one at that, if you don’t mind mushy emotional content for 60% of the film.

For a relatively short movie, this took me forever to watch – and indeed even longer to review. Truly an agonizing experience, only for those who simply must see everything related to CCS.

This is A Real Improvement compared to the previous movie.... I think this movie is a very good way to end the whole cardcaptor sakura series... *though i wished there were more...*

Basically, from the series, Kinomoto Sakura accidentally scatters the cards by saying "Windy" .... & she is selected as a cardcaptor to capture all the cards back...

Now in the movie, it seems that there was a sealed card hidden, and now it's materialised and stealing away all of Sakura's cards she caught and transformed into Sakura Cards.

Shaoran & Mei Lin comes back from Hong Kong & meets them in an amusement park... Getting ready for a festival, Sakura is the princess of a play, & the supposed-to-be prince hurt himself, so Shaoran has to take over his place...

What gets me is how Shaoran could be the prince of that play when he had no practise and just arrived from Hong Kong...

Anywayz, the theme song is cool... & when I saw how sad Sakura was when she thought Shaoran's Love was gone, it was really emotional, I felt like crying.... & Then the end, SupER COOL With that emotional touch CLAMP is famous for...

SUPERB MOVIE & SERIES CLAMP HAS MADE!!! CardCaptor Sakura and it's whole series & it's theme songs, ARE my ALL TIME FAVOURITES!!!

Well... unlike the people who reviewed before me, I watched the second movie before the TV series or the first movie -.-'
So while I did get lost the first time I watched, it is what got me hooked on CCS in the first place.

I agree with the reviewers before me; this movie was better than the first, or the series. Itis very different from the rest of the series because Syaoran has admitted his feelings and Meilin encourages Syaoran and Sakura.

A good way to end such a cute magical anime. Essentially the peak of all that is CCS is put into this movie - the cuteness, the magical scenes, summoning of the clow cards, and sakura herself. One thing that I was pleasantly surprised by was how Sakura actually seemed to interact with her environment. I've always felt that she was way too much into capturing Clow cards that character development way too rare and far in between with each episode.

It's great to see everyone together again interacting in this movie. I did not think too much about the series because it was a bit boring at times with all the stupid clow card capturing, but this movie is about just right. It is definitely true that one has to have a good understanding of the series to fully appreciate this movie, but even without watching the last arc, one can enjoy the result of the series as everyone gets along so well. Although I am not an absolute CCS fan, I thought this was a decent watch. Definitely better than my experience with the series.

This movie was the grand finale for the Card Captor Sakura series. Before you even bother watching this movie, you should watch all 70 episodes to the TV show or else you're lose track of some elements to the storyline and/ or you will be totally confused over what's going on. This movie was made specifically for CCS fans who watched the entire series.

The emphasis of this movie is on Sakura making her romantic confession to Syaoran and dealing with the Nothing Card, a 53rd Clow Card created by Clow Reed to stabalize the power of the other 52 cards. The characters whom you loved from the TV series are all here in this movie and they are, for the most part, the same characters whom you loved and admired from when the final episode aired. The plot takes place four months after the events of the TV series as Sakura and her friends are now in sixth grade while Touya and Yukito are now freshmen in college.

For the movie, there is a touch of more drama put into the plot to drive Sakura's current situations and risking to lose those she cares for in overcoming these situations, maintaining the TV show's original concepts of love and loss. This creates a good amount of character development for Sakura as the other characters are there just to drive, influence, or inform her of what decisions she should make. Putting this element into the movie makes it much more enjoyable to see than a mere episode of the TV show. Even with the drama, the movie still retains the comedy of the TV show as we still have Kero-chan pigging out on sweets or arguing with Syaoran, Toya's "sister complex", and Tomoyo's usual obsessive adoration of Sakura.

The animation and sound are of much higher quality for this movie than the series considering there's a higher budget for anime movies to take advantage of. The animation is much more vibrant and detailed and the music scores are more mellow and dramatic for this movie, perfect elements to make the movie even better.

Overall if you've already seen the CCS series and heven't seen this movie yet, you must get moving to find a way to see it. It provides an excellent finale to the mahou shoujo series you had greatly loved and it stands out greatly from most anime movies based on an anime TV series.

As many before said, this movie brought closure to the CCS series and it was done properly. Obviously the last episode of CCS left the viewers hanging with that new card and without a proper ending to Sakura and Shaoran's relationship. This movie was presented very well and it was more enjoyable than the first movie and the entire series. However, in order to watch the second movie, it's better to watch the entire (or the essential parts of the) series to better understand the situation. Because this is the finale, nothing is explained and the producers assume that you already know what has happened.

This movie is the second movie and the conclusion of Cardcaptor Sakura. This movie surpasses the first movie and the TV series by far in every aspect. However, that sucess is due to the fact that the viewers already know everything that there is to know about this series. if you have not seen the TV series this movie would make no sense.

The biggest difference and improvement from the TV series is clearly the animation. This anime have very consistent movie quality animation that is captivating and well designed. all the cute factor and charms are still there and they just added more fluidity and clearity.

Good thing about making a conclusion of a 70 episode anime is the fact that you don't need anymore character development nor do you need significant plot.

The background music and couple songs that's in the anime also are very sitting for this anime. It sets the mood right, it's cute, it works.

There isn't anything that's blatantly bad about this anime. There isn't any twist or change; it is your good old Cardcaptor Sakura in action. if you enjoy the TV (like me) you HAVE to watch this one cuz you will enjoy it.

The last time I watched something so sickly cute (other than when I watched the series about two weeks ago) was when I watched D.N. Angel months ago. Like Splitter said, I was saying “awwww” about every three seconds. Although I enjoyed the ending to the television series, I must say this one is better (although very similar) and more concrete. This movie doesn’t stand by itself; you have had to watch at least the last arc of the series. If you liked the series at all, definitely watch this. The animation is crisper and the music is better. It’s just as fluffy and cute, but without that damn card of the week. It’s all about the best part of the series: Sakura and Li. Yay.

A proper ending for the CCS saga.
This is a very well-made movie that covers up expectations attendance should have after watching TV series.

Everything runs smoothly in this wonderful ending to Sakura's Card Captor days. Almost brings a tear to my eye that that clumsy, cheerful, optimistic 4th grader is now a full-blown magical girl set on confessing her love to her dearest friend, Shaoran Li. Every saw "Awwwwww!"

Animation: Madhouse did a fabulous job with the animation yet again. Limited rehashs of the card activation routine helped to keep the viewer involved in the action at all times during the fight scenes. And the background of Tomoeda remains just as stunning as ever.

Sound: Typical CCS BGM (which is not a bad thing). I love the insert and ending songs to death!

Story: This is where the movie can tend to drag. While I'm a big fan of anime love confessions (no matter if I like the pair or not), this one was really, really dragged out. The end made it all worthwhile and the final fight at the amusement park was beautifully done (with an exception to how she ended it. That I just didn't like. Too cheesy and anti-climactic for a final battle if you ask me). Still the final few minutes of the movie bring the story to a great conclusion ^_^

Character: Everyone's back! YAY! Sakura's still her clumsy, cheerful self, Tomoyo still obviously adores the ground Sakura walks on, not much of characterization from Shaoran and Meiling (boo!), and Kero-chan as his noisy, greedy self! YAY!

Value: Pioneer/Geneon did a great job bring this stateside. Finally getting to hear a dub in which Tomoyo, Yukito, and Touya was called Tomoyo, Yukito, and Touya made me so happy! You also get a rather humorous "Leave It To Kero-chan!" short that involves Kero and Spinel Sun chasing down a rouge takoyaki ball ^^

Entertainment: It's Cardcaptor Sakura so of course I loved it! Now I must go cry because I just realized it's over! NOOOO!!!

Oh well, there's always Tsubasa: Reservior Chronicle to look forward to ^^

This is a fantastic movie. Though it is substantially different from the manga, it brings about a satisfying closure to the TV series. All of the same high quality production, animation, music, and acting are employed and treated to give us a great cinematic feel. It's interesting how Mei Lin and Tomoyo become great friends and join forces to serve as cupid.

The story's premise, the existence of a final all-powerful Clow card that I do not recall even being hinted at in the TV series was weak despite Eriol's explanation. But the execution is very well done, putting Sakura in a very desperate situation finally enabling Shaoran to do that which I believe his character was always meant for, sacrificial giving. Never has Shaoran shined as brightly as in this crucial fight.

Geneon's special edition packaging is very attractive and featuring a 5.1 mix is very welcome. New to the series is a faithfully scripted dub by Bang Zoom! featuring fine performances by many of my favorite actors. Unfortunately, having watched 70 TV episodes released w/out a dub, I've become so accustomed to the Japanese cast that I found the dub impossible to adjust to.

It's nice to see the story of Sakura wasn't tainted yet again by another bad movie. This movie more than makes up for the debacle of the first CCS movie. Even though the series ended rather well and didn't need a movie to finish it, I felt this movie gave us the ending we all really wanted to see. It's certainly nice to see a good show get a good ending for a change. This has all the magic from the series and is just as enjoyable to watch.

Overall Grade: B+

I would definately recommend this to those Sakura & Syaoran fans. If you're not - you'll be quiet irritated throughtout the whole movie. I'm quite a fan of the S & S couple, but I found that there were so much blushing, it was cute at first - but it was spoiled from expressing it too much.

I enjoyed watching this one better than the first movie, I think because the ending was touching and felt like a conclusion. I also like the songs too! It leaves you off with a heart-warming feeling that you want to have but don't want to have at the same time because it keeps you from doing productive things (In my experience anyway).

A must have for all CCS fans who thought that Episode 70 was a bit lacking.

It stays true to the series and once again cuteness all around. It's gold I tell you after popping it in in front of my cousins I was able to enjoy over an hour where Murphy's Law was suspended. Sakura and Li are one of the cutest couple in all of anime, although at the end I wished they had hugged or something, but hey they're only children.

Also there is a little short film at the end so make an effort to find it! You will not be disappointed.

Great for children and those of us who are kids at heart. If you disliked the series with a passion then bypass this, it isn't for you (More over why would you watch it?)

-Haha in your face! Victory is mine!

This movie was a very nice concluding touch to the end of the Sakura series.

The animation was nice and consistent with very little faults in it, most definately of movie quality.

The sound was pleasant and suited the movie well.

The story was simple yet the development of the characters especially Sakura and Shao's relationship is very nicely done.

The characters with the exception of Sakura and Shao, kept their own unique attributes from the TV series which was a good thing.

In the end this was a very nice movie to watch, and a very nice conclusion to the series overall.

I loved this movie so much! It was the perfect ending for one of the best animes out there, CCS.
The idea in sakura still having to capture the last and final card, brings back the action and adventure and then theres the romance between sakura and syaoran, that was a great movie to make sakura tell her feelings so syaoran right after she sealed the card. just spells KAWAII all the way. lol

Sadly this is the last thing about Cardcaptor Sakura clamp will make, but it sure was worth watching the epi's and the movie, i don't regret it! actually i feel like watching it again^.~

Amazing! I was so looking forward to this movie after watching all 70 episodes of CCS, and this one does NOT disappoint! The ending, which is the confrontation between Sakura and the sealed card, and what happened afterwards, is surprisingly moving. In fact, even though the plot even dialogues are completely predictable, it still managed to be deeply, sweetly touching. And the bit after ending credits has got to be the CUTEST thing! Makes me wonder if Pixar imitates Clamp with the cute short films before/after an animated movie. Very strongly recommended. I only wish they had given a little more attention to Toya and Yukito's relationship.

There seems to be an opinion that this movie is better than the first, yet I've never been able to enjoy it quite as much.... Mostly because I don't find it to be anywhere near as moving or aesthetically pleasing as the first film.

Which is strange, really, because it does a large number of things that the first film doesn't. Such as make Meiling actually, for want of a better term, cool.... Having finally given up on Syaoran, it now appears that she's attached herself to the other character on the rebound, Tomoyo. I'm surprised all the yuri fanatics out there, who were annoyed at the way they handled the whole Sakura/Tomoyo thing, didn't really pick this up.... But I digress....

The use of characters, even in cameo roles, shows that this series has now reached its conclusion, as this movie most certainly is. It is also slightly darker than the rest of the series, which one expects from a film (since its conventions are, by default, more dramatic.... After all, why would anyone want to drag themselves out to see a movie based on a tv series otherwise). Being this means that the series HAS to end here, because it can no longer really function as it was originally intended (a kids' show). The only way CCS could continue would be to grow up with its audience and follow Sakura through high school into adulthood, with the requisite complexity that that entails....

The Nothing card is an interesting idea, but it still remains a mystery to me how a card that is the negative to the other cards' positive will ever make much of a Hope card.... Since the other cards NEED a negative, apparently. I don't see much that is negative in hope, really.

Talk about a recycled plot with way too many convenient coincidences for a end of series movie. Oh well, it’s still good. It is definitely one of the better end of series movies, I think. The animation was a little better than the series, but the story was just a notch lower. It concludes where the series left off (actually I didn’t think the series really left off anything at the end but . . .) with a good conclusion but drops off immediately after the conclusion, which I thought they could have done better but overall this is still quite an enjoyable movie and definitely worth watching when you’re done with the series.
