| Mit diesem Movie kehrt Sakura Wars zu seinen OVA-Wurzeln zurück und präsentiert sich somit gewohnt löchrig und simpel, nicht nur seitens des Plots sondern auch in Sachen Charaktere. Ein weiteres Mitglied schließt sich der Flower Division an und ein weiterer Bösewicht taucht auf um Angst und Schrecken zu verbreiten PUNKT. Sehr leicht zu durschauender Handlungsverlauf und keinerlei Entwicklung der Figuren. Nähere Erklärungen und Informationen zur Gesamtsituation gibt es auch nicht und deshalb wird dieser Movie besonders die jenigen die in Sachen Sakura Wars noch keinerle Vorkenntnisse gesammelt haben am Schluss mit Fragezeichen über dem Kopf zurücklassen. Das einzige worin der Film überzeugt ist die technische Seite: Die Animationen sind von außerordentlich guter Qualität und auch die musikalische Untermalung ist gelungen. Aus dem Dreck ziehen tut es den Movie allerdings nicht und er bleibt, in meinen Augen, am Ende nichts als pure Zeitverschwendung.

| Ok this movie is in the place between ova2 and ova3, it happen after the Oogami left to the paris. Althou this one standalone you might need to know some basic info on some of the chars.
This movie mostly done with computer graphic scene. All the machines are 3-D and looks like a clay-moving-machine. This is a HUGE improvment if you saw the tv-series or other old ova. Other than animation and time setting; sound, pace, plot are not really new. The plot will make Sakura as the main char and duh will made her and her only shine in the stage. The bad guy is there, the confuse girl is there.. everything is the same as ever. Oh yea, there're 2 live-play in the movie so enjoy it don't skip cuz that the only enjoyment you gonna experiance the most. Haha
Note:
All the ova and such will only give you some of the detail about char, I still want to see more of this but I heard the game didn't tell much either. That's mean either they going have to do another tv-series about the new 2 member and paris mission, all the new character will never be introduce properly and no one will remember them as much as the old team.

| First this anime is more about asthetics rather than story and character development. And for some reason I was taken in by the simplistic story. One thing about sakura wars series is that it is like wine, the longger the brewing, the better it taste. In this case, it is a good adition to the Sakura Wars collection. To watch this anime, you really need to watch at least Sakura Wars Tv as there is no character explanation whatsoever. Its just an extended version of the series. Too much reliance on the TV series to understand this make this a skewed to only those who follow most of the Sakura Taisen series.

| This felt a little different than the Sakura Taisen TV series, but still enjoyable. The animation and music was excellent. I've always liked the music of the Sakura series, and the movie had it orchestrated. Mmmmmm......orchestra music. The animation was gorgeous, as is pratically expected of a movie made recently.
The story is kinda weak, plus since we don't get the games over here, it can be hard to follow many events that happen in the ST universe, but never are known about here in the US. Many of the othe units and people from them are just thrown in here, without prior knowledge of them. The story in general is weak, but the characters were what I watched ST the TV series for. I just liked the characters here again, even the new one.
In short, It's enjoyable. It's not deep or complicated. Just girls in mechs bashing at stuff with good music in the background. Enjoy.

| The Sakura Wars movie is an interesting addition to, an already interesting and uniuqe show. This movie introduces interesting new character Lachette. It is an interesting side story about the events that take place while Ogami is away in Paris. If you want to know more of why I rated this movie this way read on.

| This anime is despicable, utterly boring and maximum NO-fun. This is what I called wasted talent...
Animation was very good, but that doesn't matter. What went wrong was basically the story and the characters. It feels like nothing ever evolves and we see the same scenes over and over. The preparation for the mechs to head out was humdrum. Terrible. Every scenes was prosaic. Such lack of imagination...
Just don't watch this unless you have something else to do while watching this anime like playing guitar or playing with fingerboard.

| The sets are very well draw just like all Production IG movies, but I dont like when they mix CGI with 2D animation. The story wasn't so good, it was unoriginal and its always about beating bad guys. An anime that has realistic sets should have realistic character design too. The battles were deceiving, they weren't long and intense. The mechanical design is ugly and it look more for girls.

| I'm 1 of the ST fans, so when I saw this anime advertise on tv, I immediately went to the shop to buy. Of course as always i knew ST animes aren't really that good, but this one really surprised me with it's animation which is 1 of the better ones for ST. To fully understand the story, the viewer must play the ST games already out in Japan to enjoy it, and even so the story seems a bit too boring at times and some scenes I felt were either too rush or shouldn't be there. There weren't much character development either, although the character design is still as brilliant as it can get since it's drawn from the person who drew You're under arrest. Overall 1 of the better ST animes out.

| overall the sakura taisen movie isnt worthwhile. its kinda boring, not much character development\intereaction, and the story seems rather pointless. the one bright spot it has is its animation which is very well done.
if your a big fan of sakura taisen you might like it. if your not then id look for something else to watch.

| To put it bluntly the Sakura Wars Movie is hugely disapointing and simply doesn't deliver. Nothing unique or remotely interesting came out of this movie. The story was boring throughout and the characterized were to sappy and overdramatic to sympathize with.
A bright point was the animation. Beautifully rendered fighting sequences and overall great 2d animation.
If your a fan of the Sakura Wars you might possibly like it. The animation is better than the ova's but the story is worse than even the tv shows, which is pretty pathetic. Basically don't watch unless it's for the animation.
