| A friend told me about The Guyver Some time ago, and said that it is a good anime, so i took my time and downloaded it.
I was amused. This anime was so funny at first. I thought the story was really lame and it looked so bad, but i keeped watch, only because it WASNT boring at all.
Things happens all the time, and the fights are actually preety good. Even though this isn't an amazing anime, it's a good one to pass the time, and i will recomend it for everyone that is a little Bored.

| This is an original series. I must recommend this series to anyone who enjoys older and original style anime. It became lowsy near the end of the series due to the developers running low on money and ideas. After you whatch this and are wanting more try The live movie's Guyver 1 and Guyver 2:Dark hero. If you didnt like the series then don't whatch guyver 1 since it bombed and only would appeal to somone who enjoyed the series. | i think this has to be 1 of the best anime i ever seen after reading its comics, though it haven ends yet. the story is based on futuristic character mingle with the present world. zoalords, and guyver are the few main characters in this anime. its a really not to be miss anime. ^^

| This is a very nice anime that features the, now classic, story of a boy who somehow gains the ability to become very strong via some kind of transformation.
The Bio booster armors are great because, unlike any other usual mecha, they have a very organic look (well, they're "Bio" boosters after all), and that helps make the plot very dark or gore at times: just watch the episodes that pit Guyver 1 with Enzyme 1 and the outcome of the battle. Hehe, I wasn't expecting that at all! In your face Guyver 1!!!
Highly recommended.

| like a lot of people, guyver is what really got me interested in anime. i saw the first few episodes when i was little and purchased the dvds just recently. animation isnt fluid, but then again it was made in the 80s. but, the biobooster suit and zoanoid designs themselves are still some of, if not, the best. you can see so much influence from guyver in a lot of todays animes. production quality and story began to lag arond the 6th ep where they failed to develop new ideas and continued the same slashhack plot up until the end. but i still regard eps. 1-5 as good bloody craziness. this really was, and still is, one of the most original animes. some of the biobooster concepts such as the hyperblades and control metal are just coolass concepts

| Ack.. and the wannabe critics descend. Firstly, just look at when Guyver was made. Considering the time the animation is pretty damn good, although not up to the levels of Akira, but then again what is? This series got me into anime in the first place. Who give a damn about the corny plot? This is a violent combat-fest. Yet again bear in mind the time it was released, it's one of the original mecha combat animes. It's not unoriginal.. it was partially responsible for creating the dirge of mecha animes. People seem to have forgotten that for some reason. This series is great for introducing someone to anime and it's still extremely watchable and enjoyable.

| Einer der vielen Animes die sich mit einem typischen Plot beschäftigen der sich darum dreht das ein Mensch durch Alientechnologie Superkräfte verleiht bekommt und von nun an den Retter der Welt spielen muss, so stellt sich Guyver dem Zuschauer im besten Oldskool-Gewand dar. Man bekommt im Verlauf dieses Animes fast nichts als "Monster-of-the-day"-Episoden zu sehen und wird immer wieder Zeuge wie der Protagonist aus haufenweise auftauchenden monströsen Wesen Geschnätzeltes macht was sich ziemlich blutig darbietet und im erscheinen immer stärkerer Gegner resultiert. Story und Charaktere sind typisch für einen Anime dieser Basis und bieten nichts was man nicht schon kennt. Dennoch hat Guyver irgendwo Spaß gemacht und seien es nur die Battles gegen die Zoanoids die recht nett sind und gute Action beinhalten sowie Fans von Gore nicht enttäuschen dürften. Ich hatte zwar nie das Gefühl einen sehr guten Anime vor mir zu haben aber auch nicht meine Zeit verschwendet zu haben. The Guyver ist ein recht kurzweiliges Sci-Fi-Metzelspektakel, mehr aber auch nicht. Wer auf Animes mit solcher Plotline steht sollte zu "Hakaima Sadamitsu" greifen der The Guyver in allen Punkten doppelt und dreifach überlegen ist!

| I had the unfortunate pleasure of watching the live action version of The Guyver beforehand, it was disastrous. The anime version is better but still bad. With one dimensional characters and medicore animation and an unfinished story this anime has not much to offer, only gory violence and grotesque monsters. Actually despie the ugly human character designs the Zoanoids and the Guyver are quite well drawn so it heightened the animation score a bit. The preview of the next episode says all about the entire story of The Guyver: "in the next episode the guyver faces a new enemy"

| Just another series only for collectors who intend to watch any anime they can get their hands on. It was promising but the story was ruined at the end of the series.
