| I loved this anime when I was a kid. It's actually quite good. Even though the animation, sound isn't all that great but hey, it was made a long time ago. The story is interesting to watch. Having considering in the fact that it was made for kid surprises me that it's movie and some episode actually have deep philosophical meaning behind it (although I don't think anyone did noticed it). Even though the characters doesn't develop a lot but their personlity gave the story more laughter. It's a very nice anime to watch when you feel like taking a break from school work or even anime that has complicating story.

| Reviewing this just for kicks.
Watched and read this when I was like 5-6 in China. Now, it's obvious to see the various technical problems in this show. But for its intended audience there is really nothing on par. The regular episodes are humorous and engaging. And the movies provide interesting storylines for the beloved characters.
While the characters' personalities don't move too far from square one, neither do the characters from any other kids' show. They are, however, surprisingly deep and have various personality quirks that are interesting and/or hilarious given the various contexts in which they manifest themselves.
If you watched this when you were a kid, you loved it. If you haven't watched it yet, well you probably shouldn't bother with it now... =P
The opinions here are in comparison to other stuff for this specific audience. Why? Hmm... what is it that people say about apples to apples or something like that...?

| An anime with its own kind of originality (seeing that it's so old). The storyline is pretty plain and repetitive, and so it becomes boring over time. The bullies and the main characters never change their personalities, and so every episode's main new thing is the object Doraemon will pull out of his pouch.
Being repetitive is the disadvantage, and another drawback is that it is mainly aimed at smaller children (but it didn't really captivate me even when I was watching it at a young age), mainly because it was boring and the character design is not too attractive to watch. It's not easy to find why some consider this anime to be fun to watch.

| Doraemon is the real original of its kind, and of course; it is the classic that is especially known from Japan‘s current youth as well. If a child‘s anime wants it to make itself inspirable to one‘s imagination from its creative and widen storyline, then that concept has been always accomplished from their ideals that has always be foretold into those certain beliefs and fathomed meaning, as to one that has made it into the most modest anime titles that is well progressed. It then becomes into such a maintained worth, into the simple didactic from teaching each and one of their own youths. Even as from today, you can see those other ragged titles such as “Pokemon” and “Digimon” franchise that spews out endless amount of the same clichéd fashion with that lesser and weaker substance. Doraemon however, has been and still remains dutiful with the highest regards, for not only from being a popular icon of keeping its own approach; but resuming with the innocence that is kept through and made itself so well known for the young and unstill curiosity that is always held in their minds. It does draw out a greater purpose onto finding the idea on what has made it unique by particular and modest set of characters, a variety of comical plots and most of all making these events very knowledgeable for those who have view this. The main theme would always involve with a group of young elementary children and of their usual silly main character named Doraemon, who has a so-called magical pocket and makes those mysterious wonders turned into a “quick fix”; which were at some way presented in a sense of his small gratitude from helping on others. As positive and gleeful Doraemon seems to look, it just makes other children wonder what will he be doing next. Even with his magical abilities, he can also lead into the troubles of that young main character Nobita; which makes his own desires involving with a single item that pops-out and uses it whenever he want to make himself saved on the ordeals that were always coming to his own time of need. Although, he is seen as making himself as an imperfect person, due to his knack of understanding on his decision making. He is, however, necessarily reasoned with resolving into the good things through those events which are then could be made later on of removing those mischievous schemes that are not as mindful as he thought, since many high-jinxed misfortunes are most likely to happen on their account. Most of his doing is based on his fault from when the children were trying to get away during the meantime. He does finds those misfortunes to be the impressionable, and yet remembered that he has been loved from that little blue cat in the beginning of their childhood livelihood. It will always be an appreciation on my part, for that it is made from a wholesome principle that resolves to be so likeable. I never thought that for once it would take me back with the times of my own youth that made it cherishing on this one. I can see it will always be there as one of the greater and older anime that will keep itself progressing. Obviously, it is still ongoing from the episodes that will regard the same value. And probably will be for a very long time.

| I've been watching this since I was so tiny, and I'm still loving it! I think the character designs are pretty realistic. It's also quite educational ^-^

| Although the story style is very repetitive, I find watching these episodes from time to time to be oddly refreshing. I love this type of humor where a boy's misuse for gadgets leads them into all sorts of crazy and imaginative situations.
Characters are pretty unchanging throughout, but I love their base character. They act pretty much the same in each episode, but Nobita's bumbling behavior is absolutely hilarious.
This is a classic anime and it is worth watching a few episodes just for the sake of experience.

| When I was a kid, I wish something like Doraemon would come up and be my assistant.=)
The diferent stories will surely tickle your funny bones. The humor is innocent and so shallow but will bring back the kid in you so you cannot help but laugh that simple. It will make you remember the things you are ashamed of as a kid but find them really funny and nonsense as an adult.
Nobita is a loser and he always ask Doraemon for a gadget that will make other people(especially Shishouka) like him or at least will make him feel competitive.
It's good for kids. It teaches a lot of values. It also shows how to sort the good from the bad because the characters are tolerably explicit.
I've seen this long time ago but I'm still seeing it now. It seems to me that it's a sort of stress-reliever. It still makes me laugh. The opening for this is my ring tone right now.

| This is one funny anime.
It combines humor, an interesting story, hilarious characters, and it actually teaches something about friendship and learning from your mistakes. The music fits the anime just fine.
It's a great anime, that can be watched by most people. In all the animes I've seen, I consider this one of the most original in terms of story.

| This is a MUST for kids. But I won't recommend it to first time adult viewers because it lacks the storyline and animation like recent popular animes.
Why 10? It's all about nostalgia. Not even a single person I asked didn't know about doraemaon. Every kid watch it until taday. I watched it in 1990. A decade has passed and I couldn't forget the characters, the song..I love everything about it. When I was a kid, I can't wait to see it. And when I was in my teen yrs, I loved the manga (a really good cure when I was stressful). And now I still read the manga ocassionally for fun.
Read other reviewers and you'll sure know why this anime, doraemon, is deeply rooted in every ppl who lives in countries where this anime is on air.

| A classic anime that I would like to watch it over and over again. This is what I used to like when I was a kid. I also got the manga, though, which is as funny as the one in anime. The theme is about friendship, which is shown by watching the relationship between Nobita-kun and Doraemon. The relationships between Nobita and his classmates are shown, which is very discriptive. We have a typical bully, a rich show-off, a hardworking girl, and a kind but lazy protagonist, Nobita-kun. Doraemon makes sure that he won't turn out to be a loser in his future and comes to the past for his aid. I never watch the ending, though. (If I have a chance, I want to see it.) But overall, this IS the anime that anyone can enjoy. A Classic comedy.

| i remember, back in China, when i was little i used to be addicted to doraemon manga, i would make my dad buy some whenever we came across them. the anime isn't as good as the manga, but it's still doraemon :o)
i really loved the characters and all of the machines/gadgets doraemon brings to Nobita, brings back some great memories
read the manga/watch the series if you want a good old, family anime-it's one of my old favorites

| In almost all of the episodes, Nobita has some problems, Doraemon helps with some gadgets. Nobita is impressed. Nobita begs or steals the gadgets and misuses them. Nobita begs Doraemon and the latter helps him again. Nobita learns the lesson... or does he?
I wonder is Doraemon the first anime where all the people of same generation as me, in my country watched? Most likely. And one could easily bought the manga from newspaper stands too (at that time)
In fact, this anime still never fails to capture the attention of present young children. So a 10 for entertaining the children for 30 years.
Who doesn't wish to have a robot cat with magic pocket? The gadgets are quite cool. Something which I wish to have to help with my problems (with homework, etc) :P
The opening song is a classic.
The anime style and colour is very very simple.

| One of my childhood favourites. I'm tempted to give this a 10 just for nostalgic factor alone.
I remembered waking up early every Saturday morning to watch this on national television, along with just about every other kids in the country. Doraemon captures the curious spirit of children, then take them on adventures that are both ingeniusly creative and fun.
Few animes deserve to be remembered over the years. Doraemon is a timeless masterpiece that will be remembered for a long long time.
P.S. The manga is excellent as well, and its ending is one of the most debated topic today.

| This was 99.9% of asian kids' favourite at some point in their childhood. You give this less than 10 in any catergory and it means you haven't watched enough of it to review it.
This is probably the best show you can give to any child. It teaches them the power of imagination, it teaches them not to slack off in life, it provides endless hours of laughter and much much more.
Rating this anime by the 1-10 number system won't do it justice. It's a kids show and there aren't any better kid's anime than this.

| This is an anime that I remeber watching when I was a little kid, its one of those anime alot of us long time anime fans grow up in. =)
This is one series that believe it or not STILL AIRING with some specials ounce in awhile in Japan EVEN TIL THIS VERY DAY!!!! Talk about long Air time!!! =) Well, this is pobably The Most Succesful / Well Known Anime / Manga title out there. This great for children to watch. "Beats all todays kids target anime out there BIG TIME" and still a good show even for the older generation. =)
This anime contains a peaceful storyline with good light / childish humor, light action, and good ol gadgets. =) Also a OP theme song that was so popular it has become a really famous ginkgo. ^_^ "Hope some of you anime nuts still remebers it!"
Overall a VERY recommand anime for Everyone, especially to the little kids who watch WAY too much Money Milking Japanese Animations (aka. pokemon, keyblade, yugioh). =/

| Classic, all anime fans must watch this. A comedy, and the essence of anime itself(excluding the graphic)
The story is light, very suitable for kids & a story per episode, which sometimes 3/4 episodes per show.
There are lots of moral value's in this anime, & very imaginative of the directors to think this up.
