| For a Street Fighter series, I always thought that it wouldn't make itself into a solid storyline, which proves it throughout the whole time. It just only gave too much of a relationship with Ryu and Ken and trying to be the best fighter, or trying to learn a new technique for fighting whoever they couldn't defeat. It sounds always familiar from a lot of these when you keep it to no bounds of losing itself into the thinnest plot with less twists or a decent concept in this certain area. They also tried to squeeze in some characters from time to time, which had a lesser connection from most of the stroy. I will say that the animation did keeps its standards, but the music was just irritable, especially the title theme song. I wouldn't recommend this, unless you are Street Fighter fan which I am sadly not.

| I love Street Fighter so much! This series was really cool! Actually, I'm still expecting more from this series, but unfortunately, they did not make a sequel for this.

| This was possibly one of the most popular animes when I was in high school, so I kinda wished i watched it then... Overall, this a good show, and it will much appreciated by the fans of the game, especially Ryu, Ken, and Chun-Li fans; it has great fighting scenes, and the story is based off the game, but has more layers to it. If you ever get the chance to see it, do so.

| The series has a mediocre story. Not enough to keep you hook to it. The only thing going for it is the fact that it is "Street Fighter" and those who really like the game will at least find something in it. Expect something totally different from the movie.

| Sometimes you just gotta love the cheese. Most horror movies and martial art movies aren’t “good” movies, but we love them for the cheese factor. The factor that says, yes I know its bad, but it’s the variety of bad that makes things enjoyable. Street Fighter, like Grappler Baki, represents this cheese factor.
The animation was devoid of fanservice, for the most part (which is a plus on my book, any series that resorts to that instead of intelligence to acquire fans is not quality) but at the same time the style I wasn’t impressed with. I question at time if this even came from Japan, considering the animation looked exactly like GI Joe. I gotta give them some credit though, since when there was combat going on they never reused frames (taking 3 frames or so and repeating them over and over to give the illusion of fighting). Still that hand-painted, old looking GI Joe type animation probably added to this cheese factor.
The sound was god-awful. But this is also a common cheese factor – bad sound. Dubs are usually terrible, since that’s how they are. It was so corny so often that I cringed with disgust. “Gonna burn some muscle!” Seriously. The score sucked too but the worst thing about the sound was that the Japanese subbing was terrible sounding as well! I couldn’t even rely on it to save me from the horrible English.
Concerning Story and Character, I’m finding it hard to decide which one to give an 8. After all, the story WAS the characters, Ryu and Ken, and their friendship and relationship. Aside from the powers, the story was pretty realistic as well – I mean the heroes would actually lose fights! That never usually happens in anime. Whenever they got their butt handed to them, they always came out of it with some kind of lesson. The best thing about this series was seeing that growth that occurred – how Ken and Ryu turned from some arrogant punks into calm and collected heroes. Some of the small plotlines were cheesy though (i.e.: putting someone under their control by kissing them). Parts of the story were also drawn out like you wouldn’t believe…such as Ryu gathering his Ki, and the flashbacks to him gathering his Ki, then him gathering his Ki again….I swear at times I was watching DBZ.
I have to give the value a low score though…I just couldn’t watch this half the time. I watched the first 10 episodes pretty quick, and then…well…lets just say I’ve been watching this series for months, something that’s unheard of for my anime watching habits. It just didn’t hold my attention enough.
Overall, this cheesy anime can be an entertaining watch, especially if you’re a fan of Street Fighter. Still, if you’re not a fan, or have anything newer to watch, I’d suggest you stay away from this…it just doesn’t bring anything good to the table that newer series can’t do better.

| GREAT, GREAT, GREAT!!!!
This anime is my personal TOP Favorite!
B-cos: The Dahlsim in the SF2 games (my favorite character), is also the coolest guy in the series!!!
Awesome series! Fighting, superpowers, friendship, and fighting together against the evil mr Bison; the goal of the series

| Street Fighter II the anime is loosely based on the video games of the same name. The characters in this anime all are mainstays in the games. After this the similarities end. The characters look much different form the games and the story is very different from the games. M Bison is the main enemy of this decent action anime. If you want to know more read the rest of my review.

| Where do I start? The animation. Pretty normal, average, standard, whatever you want to call it. I didn-t like the colors much, but believe me the animation is not the worst of this series.
Sound. Voice acting was ok. The music, I honestly didn-t like.
Now, here comes the really bad part. The story. It was terrible. I-m not fond of this kind of anime, but I try to be open-minded and watch every anime series before I say if I like it or not... but I just couldn-t watch this. I tried, and I-ve seen almost all of it, but most of the times I couldn-t watch the episodes until the end. It-s terrible and it-s boring. The story is predictable and well...boring, and so very ridiculous. It-s sad really.
Some of the characters were so... bad. Like the girl and the villian. Oh, this is hopeless. I guess people who like the game will like it better.

| I saw the English dubbed version of Street Fighter and it was absolutely funny. The dubbing of Ken's and Ryu's voices are well done(not really) and that is why it is hilarious. I actually like this better than DBZ because Chun-Li and Cammy is hot compared to the whole DBZ chicks(if you can call them chicks) that have straw hair.

| This is a half decent action anime. A lot of good and bad points. Good points are some action parts well animated, a very solid storyline, decent character development and good music (most of the time). Bad points are lots of badly animated scenes, big amounts of repeated scenes, bad voiced acting, very dodgey music at times, and extreme cheesiness.
Although at first I wasn't that keen on the storyline deviating so far from the original storyline, I have to say the resulting storyline is really good and I like the way it brings in the regular characters such as Sagat and Dhalsim.
The music is inspiring at times... and considerably mismatching the scene at other times. The voice acting is bad, I don't know whether it was originally recorded in English or not, but the fact is the English voices sucked. Yet another action anime with bad and cheesey scripting. They may as well scrap the script for all its worth.
I don't understand why they decided to use the original characters but with some small but seemingly pointless differences such as Ken having red hair. The characterisation on the psycho baddy Bison is criminally over done. He takes an hour laughing his head off (with more creases on his face than a hundred year old cronie) then another hour strangling someone. But generally I liked the background they gave to the characters, giving them a sense of depth.
Unlike most anime, this got WORSE as the show went on. Main reason is that they tried harder and harder to drag out the storyline, so ended up filling episodes up full of repeated scenes and people just generally dicking about like bison laughing or ken having recurring nightmares.
It's not an incredibly bad anime. It has a few very good points, but the numerous flaws outweigh the good points and so I give this anime a less than average score.

| I have found that Street Fighter II V is one of the few anime based on fighting video games worth watching. Despite being based on a popular fighting game, the series stands by itself; viewers don’t need experience with the video games to enjoy it. It may help, but it’s not necessary. So that’s a plus for the series.
Although it’s based on a fighting game, it’s not the typical “bash em up anime. Not only do Ken and Ryu sometimes lose fights, but there’s a bit of character development. Both Ken and Ryu start off as cocky teens, but an ass kicking from Guile and a little lesson from Dhalsim pretty much helps that. And the anime makes some good points about friendship. Chun-Li plays a big part in that.
I actually liked that Ryu has a different personality than in the games. In the games, great fighter though he is, he’s a bit too serious. In this anime adaptation, however, he’s a goofball! Remember, he’s only seventeen, and even he was a kid once. I liked the way he’s portrayed here. Ken is pretty much the same as in the games, just younger. As for everyone else, some “villains in the games are “good guys here. I didn’t mind that.
As for the fight scenes, well, most of them were great and choreographed well. There are about three that stick in my mind. The fight between Ken and Vega is definitely the best fight scene in the anime. I also really liked the one between Fei Long and Cammy and Ken and Fei Long. There are, of course, many other fight scenes; those were just my favorite.
What didn’t I like about the anime? Well, there are definitely some repetitiveness and drawn out episodes. Those episodes when Ryu was learning the hadoken…geez. How many episodes did that take? Two? Three? Better editing could have been used there. And there were a lot of flashbacks. Those who watched this series know what I’m talking about. Ahem…Chun-Li and M. Bison.
The obvious drawback is that there are definite differences from the games that fans may dislike. However, I didn’t mind the differences and looked at the series as more of prequel to the games.
Anyways, I liked the series. Maybe it’s because I was a huge fan of the video games, so it has nostalgic value for me. Ah, the sweet days of being a ten-year-old in a St. Louie arcade in ’91, kicking the ass of teenagers with Blanka and Chun-Li. Ah, the days of SFII on SNES and that code: Down-R-Up-L-Y-B…Oh, but I digress…
All in all, I’ll recommend it to fans of the games, but hey, even if SFII is a foreign name to you, check it out. It’s worth the watch.

| Just stick to the motion picture that came out know as Street Fighter: The Animated Movie.
This wasnt that bad, I liked the start but the later half was horrible. They changed Ryu's cool character into one of a cocky teenager which just didnt suit him. The later half of the show was FULL of flashbacks of the same episode.... ARRRGGG painful to sit through!

| This anime will really appeal to Street Fighter fans only. Its basic storyline is Ken and Ryu are searching for worthy opponents around the world before they meet M.Bison.
The action scenes are good to watch at the start, but when theres none the storyline gets very boring because its not very deep since its an action animes. Theres some cheap humour thrown in too. Most of the characters from the game make cameo appearances.
Id only recommend this if you had nothing to watch on a rainy day, or your a gamer who likes playing Street fighter games.

| And here it is, i just finished watching the last episode of these series, and as i promised, i will review it.
First thing is first, this anime is just plain amazing, and theres no doubt about that, it will keep you hooked until like the last 9 episodes, from then, you will be delivered a barage of amazing controversy and impressive fights. Another thing is, this anime has probably every street fighter since 1995, exept for blanka.
You will love this anime, knowing or not knowing who the characters are, it deosnt matter if you preffer SNK better than Capcom, you will have to at least give this one credit for what it is, and what it is, its an anime that cannot be touched. The story is impressive, the characters are bold, the conflict and controversy is just the beggining.
Like i heard, the first couple of episodes is more of like a hilarious twist, and then, when you watch the last episodes, youll see how far apart they are, while at the same time sticking perfectly to the story. But its the way one even that leads to another, thats what makes this anime so cool. One little event brings you to the last episode.
Things get serious when they get to barcelona, haha, and thats where vega appears, and the way you see things go by is just plain amazing. You cannot say this anime is bad, unless ofcourse you either havent played the games or like SNK better, but the only excuse is if you like SNK better, because in this anime, every character is introduced as new.
Watch it, pay attention to it, and youll see how the flow of the story changes from one point to the other from episode 1 to episode 29.
Oh yeah, and one thing, theres blood when its not needed....that was a turnoff because, there are some scenes that blood is not needed in. Oh and, there is A LOT of blood, its not innocent anime, its bloody, very. A slight show of skin here and there, mostly surrounding Cammy. But god, cammy is HOT in this anime, in the games she is innocent, in the anime, she has the body of anything we would dream of.
I leave you with a good impression of the anime, watch it and pay attention to it because you may learn one or two things.

| I remember this anime, and thats why i enjoy it so much. I was so young when i watched this anime and i can remember so little of it! I just knew i loved it. I remember the friend i made with this anime, and that makes it so speicial. The only thing is that BLANKA is missing from this series, but for me it doesnt matter. I love this anime, i can never forget it, its just so nostalgic and at the same time a pushback because i remember how the characters where so cheap looking and the end was kinda dull. But you know? this is one anime i will never forget, just for the memories of it.

| What can I say about this anime? Well, if you are the type of person that will be just satasfied seeing one SF II character after another pop in for an episode and leave again, you will prolly like this.
Not that this series is bad, but very light-hearted. So much so that when it tries to be serious, you will feel confused.
Though, not a waste of time to watch to me, I see why people wouldn't like it.
By Far, the intro to the series is the coolest part.

| I think the movie is far more better than the series. Something that's really annoying is when they don't vome anywhere with the story. For example the battle between ken and vega seems to last several episodes. And ryu stands on the same beach practising hadou ken. It's like watching Sunset Beach or something like that. They want you to watch the next episode so they never finish something until the last episode.
