As always, all paragraphs that begins with ** might contain spoilers so be warned.

The Adventures of Mini-Goddess might be in the same series as the rest of Ah! My Goddess but it is nothing like all the other ones. This one is just 48 episodes, all of which are about 5 minutes long that have our Goddesses doing wacky things (kinda like Galaxy Angels). Coming in, I didn't expect much from this but while I am not truly impress, I did have a good amount of laughs so it is all good.

Anyway, onto some of the information about this anime:

Ending Themes:
-- "Denwa Shite Iwa-chan" by Yuki Ishii

44. Gan-chan the Locomotive
45. The Miso Jar
46. Deluxe Game of Life
47. Mekimeki High School Memorial
48. What'll Happen Next?

Side Notes: I believe I read somewhere where someone thinks that Kikuko Inoue was not the voice of Belldandy and then someone else said she was for this series. Well, to clear things up, they were both right. Akemi Okamura did fill in for Kikuko Inoue for the first 13 episodes before Kikuko Inoue returned for the rest (it seems like she was on maternity leave of absense).

Anyway, onto the review.

Do not watch this first among the other AMG animes, if not you will probably start with a bad impression of AMG.

This is a totally new series in a sense that the characters are the same. And as the name implies, "mini". Gan-chan receives quite a fair bit of abuse from the goddesses, really humorous. Especially the part where he becomes like Godzilla. Keiichi and Belldandy take a backseat in this one too. It focuses more on Skuld, Urd, and the fat rat Gan-chan.

The episodes don't connect in a sequence of a storyline, so don't expect anything more than plain humour.

I liked the ED, it has the dreamy sort of rythem and feel to it.

Watch this if you like something light-hearted. It probably will appeal to kids as well.

I guess this is just too cutesy for my taste, but was very nicely animated. There really wasn’t an actual or serious story to this, but the humor was just so dull. That rat was an odd one though, and had a clumsy feel to his approach to make it feel humorous. It clearly showed that it was just too plain for a stand-alone series. Maybe it would be suitable for children, but not as an actual anime at best. I can't see myself recommending this, not even for a Goddess fan.

Despite how the OVA series is really enjoyable to watch. Adventures of Mini-Goddess is a humor-intended spin off.
Not really based on the relationships between Belldandy and Keiichi, mini-goddess is more of a adventures of the three goddesses, as they encounter the world in a more.. shrunk size.

I don't think anything is really spectacular about this and the only reason someone might watch this is if they were really really obsessed with one of the Goddess characters and just had to have more.
Although since the TV series is out, there's no reason to watch this, in my opinion.

A bunch of short 7-min. comedy sketches involving Urd, Skuld, and Gan-chan the rat. Bell and Kei are kept in the background. Only watch if you have a high tolerance for "anime humor" and want more of the Ah! My Goddess cast.

This is a special anime IMO, not often you see the spin off of an anime (with the typical min characters) made into a real proper anime.

5min per episode, though the fast forwarding between each eps. Is a pain, the episodes themselves are mostly not.

Animation was good, characters well drawn, background just like the proper anime’s.

Story? Imagine a “No-Story story, plus comedy and Ah! My Goddess characters plus Gan-chan (a rat). And adventure round the house. The story contained a lot of spoof elements from varies anime like Berserk and Love Hina just to name 2.

Characters? I was VERY surprised to find a RAT being the main character (arguable though whether he’s the main one). I thought Keiichi would be, but the story happens when Keiichi is out. The goddesses become small and hangs around this rat called Gan-chan. I didn’t like him at first, but I got over that quickly and started to like him. He’s the typical disaster magnet – everything bad happens to him.

The mini version of the goddesses were great, very well done and very cute and fun too. Have to say that Belldandy doesn’t appear much in the anime but a little very episode.

Sound was okay, not much to congratulate too much about, not too much to moan about either.

48 episodes is quite a bit, but at 5 min each, it’s okay. There were times of boredom watching this, some of the eps. Just didn’t excite me at all, but some (I think it was a bout 3 or 4) where I laughed a lot. The others were average.

Watch or not? Hard to say, I didn’t even like Ah! My Goddess, but I liked this, and if you did like Ah! My Goddess, then you should definitely watch this. I just hope that maybe Tenchi would make a series like this…

So much fun but so little time. This is one of the funniest series to watch. Based from the original series Ah! Megami-Sama (Ah! My Goddess) it's very fun to watch. Only 7 minutes long for each episodes, it brings a lot of laughter to everyone. I recommend it for those who are looking for some fun.

This one is a must for Ah! My Goddess fans. If I had one complaint about Ah! My Goddess, it's how very little we got to see Skuld and Urd. In Adventures of Mini-Goddess however, they take center stage along with the hilarious rat Gon-chan.

Belldandy becomes little more than an extra character dropping by every now and again, and she's mainly as the target of some much needed lighthearted mockery. (grin) Keiichi's never shown at all, though it's made clear he's still around. So, what's the show all about? Well, Skuld, Urd, Gon, and occasionally Belldandy basically spend each episode in random adventures around the temple and city.

The subjects of each episode are hilariously random and yet still interconnected in strange ways one wouldn't expect. Some of the episodes are even quite unique, like one featuring Urd going through a stroll in the rainy city with a pleasant music track and absolutely no dialog. Several episodes even feature Goddess themed parodies of other animes, like Galaxy Express 999.

The art quality is just great, especially if you like the chibi style. The chibi Goddesses are all painfully cute and well aware of it. Even the English dubbing is wonderfully professional. They capture the emotions very well and the timing is spot on.

If you can't get enough of the Goddess universe, it's hard to go wrong with this series. Skuld is by far my favorite Goddess and Urd ain't half bad either. Both of them are absolutely hilarious, and Gon is much funnier than I expected him to be. Belldandy shows up just enough to lend her charm to the series without bogging down the pacing. Her sad walk during the first ending could melt anyone's heart.

A cute show. There are some nice parodies during the series, but I still think that series lacks something in the humour department. Maybe it goes a bit over my head.

There is not much of a story to talk about, but the characters are wonderful. Gan-chan does a good job with Urd and Skuld. Animation is good enough. I don't really remember anything about sounds. Was there even music in the show? Anyway, it's worth watching if you want to have some small bites of sillyness. Like a mild version of DiGi Charat.

This is a fun little show, no pun intended. It's a nice show to watch bits and pieces of, and I might have liked it more if I hadn't marathoned it in two days, but the episodes are so short that it moves pretty fast. Most episodes are original, with some funny parodies thrown in throughout the series(I saw Berserk and Independence Day off the top of my head, plus others). It's not a bad show. Animation is good, and it's funny, but there's no really overlying plot. Just random humor. It was good enough for me.

Being Small is Convenient is a very fun "mini" series. It takes most of the characters from Ah! Megami Sama and turns them uber-chibi, then throws in a bunch of rats and random adventures. Despite having no real purpose, it's a very entertaining show, and the last episode does a great job of bringing the series to a close as if the episodes had actually been related when in fact it was a very episodic series. The music was good and the writing was witty. It had a good sense of humor. Fans of Ah! Megami Sama who also enjoy more light-hearted anime should really enjoy Being Small is Convenient.

Hmm, the Oh My Goddess characters chibi-style? Couldn't be that bad ^_^.

This is just an anime composed of short 8-minute episodes about the adventures of the mini-goddesses. That pretty much fit's the description. There's no plot, really. It just features what goes on at the Morisato residence when Keiichi isn't around.

There's not that much replay value, but I tend to rewatch it after watching the Oh My Goddess OVA as a cool-off anime. Overall, it's a kiddish comedic spinoff that's fun to watch once, but you'll probably end up forgetting about it after awhile.

This aired in Japan as 48 short 7-minute episodes that came out before the Oh My Goddess movie. The shorts are almost all self-contained episodes, with a few two-parters, and they're mainly comedy--there's no real longer-term plot or character devleopment going on, although you do get to see a lot more of Urd and Skuld than you do in the Oh My Goddess OVA series. The main story in Mini-Goddess is the adventures of Urd, Skuld, and their rat sidekick Gan-chan, who almost always gets the short end of the stick. Belldandy shows up from time to time, but Keiichi doesn't show up at all, and the focus is definitely on Urd, Skuld, and Gan-chan (voiced in the Japanese version by Iwata Mitsuo, who does an incredible job with the role). The stories are short, and some are better than others, but the funny ones are hysterical, and Urd and Skuld are more fun to watch than Belldandy making yet another cake anyway.

Well this isn't what I expected. Ah! My Goddess was a perfect anime, nearly flawless for many reasons. One of them being the three "Goddess" was the topic of many drooling hentai obsessed Fanboys wondering which is the sexier or best Goddess(more on the sexy side though). Thus, this series was born(but made horribly wrong)!
Each episode is five minutes long and have predictable gags. It's what you get if you put Animaniacs and Roadrunner together. It wasn't that bad, but true hardcore fans of Ah! My Goddess will most likely be very disappointed.
