| Ahh well.. U know it's gonna be fanservice anime and I hope you expect it coming before watch it.
Once again girl gotta fight alien but this time they gotta fight loli cute alien! lol so... u get the idea. Also, there're a lot of panties floating around. Every characters is cute and fun. Everything is halirious in a way. Romance doesn't work.. but I still think it's a harem anime. No interesting song or OST.. just regular stuff. It end well and I just could teste the pantie smell...........

| It's kinda dissapointing but the last episode (which was actually a bonus episode) was very enjoying. It's just a typical sailormoon anime that's just a bit cooler because of the characters and the action.
The animation was great but the story kinda sucks... I hope they make a sequel for this to make this anime one of the good ones.
Still, If you just wanna laugh, I recommend it! I really had a lot of laughs when I watched this.

| In this world of female-oriented fanservice, with implied shounen ai and bishounens everywhere, it's very refreshing to see something like G-On Riders. Studio Katsuzo still knows how to please the proud drooling fanboy that I am sometimes. (Katsuzo, for those who don't know, are also responsible for Hand Maid May, I My Me Strawberry Eggs and Cosplay Complex)
So, yeah, G-On Riders is a fanservice show, I won't even try to hide it. But it's quite a good one. And anyway, the level of ecchi-ness, while always present, is mild as best, and is more cute than really offensive.
Story-wise, it's stereotypical and cliche, but it's not meant to be taken seriously, of course. Yuuki Kurama, a new transfer student at our featured school, is caught in the midst of an alien invasion, and witnesses the G-On Riders, a pair of students wearing glasses and wielding huge weapons proceeding to kick the alien beasts' butt. Thanks to her inner strenght, she is eventually picked by Dr. Sanada, the school nurse, to be the third G-On Rider and save the earth from the alien menace. But are those aliens really that menacing?
The whole shows parodies a lot of anime concepts, and never really takes itself seriously. My favorite gag revolves around Ichiro, our usual clumsy, shy, and slightly perverted main male character, trying very hard to be a real man, modelling himself after those shounen heroes of the 80's.
Just to add to the fanservice flavor, this show shamelessly seems to have all the most popular (male oriented) anime fetishes of the moment present.
Sailor fukus? Check!
Fighting nun? Check!
Traditional japanese girl? Check!
Sexy schoolnurse? Check!
Cute lolitas? Check!
Robot maids? Check!
Catgirls? Check!
Girls with glasses? (Meganekkos) Check!
Only the elf and the lesbian seem to be missing! ^_^;
As a special note, meganekkos are everywhere! (The only girl without glasses in the entire show(Ai-chan) ends up wearing them halfway through the series. ^^)
Technically speaking, the G-On has good character desings, crisp colors, and fairly nice, though a bit sub-standard animation. Unfortunately, the animation quality, which was nothing to write home about in the first episodes becomes abysmal in the last two episodes... Katsuzo's lazy. The music is good, though. Nothing out of the ordinary, but its very cute, catchy and bouncy overall.
A far stretch from being a great series, but I found it very much enjoyable. As far as mindless fanservice oriented comedy goes, G-On is my personal favorite.
...yeah, I'm a sucker for girls with glasses kicking asses.

| Good animation, no tedous plot, and simple way to kill some time watching a funny series. Nothing ground-breaking or even seriously noteworthy... But it still was enjoyable to watch. I would rather watch this over about 10 current shows coming out of Japan...
Chicks with glasses kicking butt adn poking fun at todays anime... And that pretty much is it...

| A first glance might convince you that G-On Riders has nothing to offer besides fanservice, cute characters, and a silly plot.
Yet if you perservere, you might find that this show has more to offer.
Contrary to many opinions, G-On Riders is not actually ecchi. It has some risque situations, and some minor fanservice, but these are more in the nature of good fun (like its predecessor Hand Maid May).
Where this show shines is in its lighthearted satire of its own genre. It delights in placing its characters in painfully obvious cliches drawn from the vaults of anime immemorial. Old-time classics such as Gatchaman, Starblazers, Kikaider and even Sailor Moon do not escape its gentle nudging. When I first saw Cosmo Banchou (ep 6) appear, I laughed so hard I couldn't stop.
G-On Riders may not be the best anime ever. It may not even be good anime. But it has its own charm, and I for one am glad I gave it a second chance. Maybe you will be too.
