| Nurse Witch Komugi is a very colorful and energetic OVA series. It is totally opposite and unrelated to Soul Taker in terms of mood and character roles (mostly, except Komugi herself). This is obvious if you've seen Soul Taker and know Komugi's character (i.e., even within a dark anime, she's very cheerful and energetic). Within this anime, she is even crazier as she takes the main character role and gets more screen time. Although there is absolutely no story to connect everything together (except the basic premise) and the only thing concistent across episodes are the character roles of Komugi being this cosplay model by day, nurse witch savior by ... other parts...
Unlike many other short OVA series used to revive old characters in new situations, this one is actually able to stand by itself. Full of magical girl elements, colorful characters (well, maybe just one important one), random funny scenes built off parodies and references, and a very energetic, devious, and hilarious/energetic main character, Nurse Witch Komugi is worth taking a look for those looking for a cute magical girl Excel Saga (somewhat).
The main downside to it is how it might be a bit... overly perverted to some people. Some might feel this is extremely loli as Komugi has the classic pink hair, flat chested, energetic, one toothed, red blushed cheeks, young girl image. Although they don't show fan service onscreen and in fact actually covers them when she falls with legs spread, the fact that they "almost show" it... is kind of disturbing. However, if this element doesn't bother you at all, and you wanted to see more of crazy Nurse Witch Komugi from Soul Taker, then this is definitely worth a look. It is a short, probably something nice to collect, very very colorful and i love the animation style. The only problem enjoyment-wise is that nothing really happens in a progressive story sense. But who cares! She's crazy and has a awesome voice!

| Nurse Witch Komugi is one of the funniest magical girl spoofs out there. Spoofing things from Speed Racer to The Ring, NWK goes on one misadventure after another, ending up with an alien girl who wants to be the universe's greatest teacher. The only complaint I have is that there weren't more episodes!

| This show is pretty funny stuff, however most of the jokes deal with cosplay, comic markets, and other otaku things... in other words, if you don't know what any of the stuff I just said means, you won't find Nurse Witch Komugi funny.
The main reason I watched this show is because Komugi is voiced by Momoi Haruko, my favorite singer of all time. Therefor, if I could give the sound an 11, I would. I love the opening (Ai no Medicine) and the ending themes, and I love all the voice actors. The sound is top notch in this series.
The production value of Magikarte is above average, although it IS an OVA. Komugi always has the perfect facial expressions, and the animation of Komugi's transformation sequence is top notch. All of the character designs are absolutely wonderful, well, they ARE done by my favorite company, Poyoyan Rock.
Overall, Magikarte is an anime just for laughs. I suggest you only watch episodes 1 and 2 (NOT 2.5 unless you just want to listen to music) because those are the best. The anime goes downhill from then on. Magikarte is jam packed with anime parodies, boob jokes, and wonderful voice acting. Everything in this anime is of the best value- I suggest you watch it.

| Komugi just tries too hard. There's a lot that one can do a parody of in magical girl series. Komugi does them all I think. Friend as your adversary, cute transformation, super cool love interest etc. All this parody covers the actual series. I can only see the violent jokes and nothing underneath. Not to mention that the jokes get old pretty fast as they are concentrated on Komugi's shortcomings.There are attempts to make the characters deeper in the series but it doesn't help. Trying to put some real emotion in this soup where nothing is to be taken seriously doesn't work. Characters look good and all but I don't really care about them and they aren't particularly funny, only annoying. Stories are your average magical girl stuff with a tenfold psycho factor. The monsters were funny, the best point of the series.
Production values are good. Animation is fluid and colorful and the music catchy. This doesn't help much when the series is so empty and the whole remains boring. I haven't seen Soul Taker so perhaps some of the jokes would sink in better if I had seen it.

| Nurse Witch Komugi is a funy show, with some really nice art and animation, and some funny acting from Komugi and her perverted mascot Mugimaru (hilariously played by Ueda Yuji). However, it's not exactly original; many of the jokes have already been used in Magical Project S. The jokes aren't all funny, either, considering half of them are about Komugi being falt-chested and young-looking for a 17-year old girl. Oh, and all the other characters, save Kyousoke, are unlikable asses.
Still, though, it's funny, but unless you already like magical girl anime, you'll want to skip this one, even if you like fan service (which this show has plenty of). Sort of like a longer, less explicit Puni Puni Poemy.

| This is a really retarded anime. Only seen up to episode 2.5. I'm pretty sure that's all I needed to see, too. I didn't like it that much, I didn't think it was funny. I thought it was too stupid. The story isn't that original. Basically has no story, and it reminds me of Popotan, probably because the characters were designed by the same people and they talk about boobies. But the ONLY thing they talk about is BOOBIES! EEEW! Repeative, humor, I guess you could call it, alittle TOO repeative. I highly doubt this is going anywhere.

| As far as anime with no real stoy goes, I think komugi is one of the best. The characters and situations they get in are so funny, that the lack of any real plot wont even matter to you. Expect the unexptected from this flat-chested magical nurse, as in episode 1 when everyone gets changed into ASCII art, I just about fell out of my chair from laughing so hard. Havent done that since Goldenboy. Komugi's seiyuu did a great job as well, such a unique voice and one that really makes the character. Anyway, if you want to get some serious side-pains in as short amount of time as possible, check this out.

You don't have to watch the Soultaker to see this, since there isn't much you aren't told before this anime.
The episodes are very very weird. You'll get a shock in every episode you see; which aren't any more than four as up to date. Don't buy this one, as both the DVD extras and the episodes are available on internet.

it's just what i WOULDN'T expect from the people behind The Soultaker (none of that random artsy crap, or catholic symbolism, tho the series is ridiculously colorful
what's REALLY funny though, is the fact that almost the entire cast is made up of Soultaker characters, such as kyosuke being a popular actor, runa also being an actor, Shiro as komugi's agent, Yui as his boss, Megumi as...well basically a booth girl or magazine pin-up, Asuka as an action star, and of course komugi as the cosplaying idol singer/magical superhero girl
the attacks were cute and flashy too, and they made sailor moon look like crap

| In conclusion, I must say that this is by far the cutest god darn anime I've ever seen! And yes I've seen quite a lot! If you are a fan of Soultaker like me, then this anime is a MUST! You'll just love all the 'evil' laughing over Angler's evil schemes to take over the world. Everything anybody does is so cute, and Komugi is just so adorable and cute, and getting to see the characters together in a whole different environment is just totally cool, and oh, did I mention cute? To sum it up in one word: "Kawaii"!!

| Okay first off I should mention that I only saw the 1st episode of Soul Taker so that probably makes a difference in my review. That said, I didn't enjoy this show at all, it's not that it was bad in any way ~ in fact I can't really pinpoint why I didn't like it but there just wasn't anything to the series to make it stand out or even really catch my interest. It was humorous but not funny, the characters were cute but almost in an irritating sort of way & while it's definitely a different take on the magical girls genre I don't really think this is the type of show that would necessarily appeal to traditional mahou shoujo fans (& I'd say it definitely leans more in the shounen series direction).
Overall I think this one is worth at least check out, especially for fans of the original Soul Taker series. However if your like me & either didn't see Soul Taker (or see much of it) or weren't a fan of the series this one is probably a pass unless you just have free time to spare!

I'm surprised nobody mentioned this anime as being moderately ecchi.
I don't recommend this to people who are mainstream and/or new to anime, because it would be difficult to understand the style of how this anime is presented. There are many scenes featuring anime/manga otaku culture.
Since this is a parody anime, it borrow many traits from other anime shows.
There is a quote from a scene that really caught my attention.
"Service, Service for everybody!!!"
"More Service from me!!!"
That is just plain WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you seen it and you know your anime, you'll know what I am talking about. ^_^

| OMG! It's so weird to see the characters from SoulTaker in a happy anime like this one. I recommend to watch SoulTaker before watching this. This is so damn kawaii :D
