Unlike the GTO manga and Shonan Junai-gumi , Bad Company is more serious often omitting what made the previous two enjoyable. No funny moments and character expressions for the most part. But it keeps one feature that manages to keep the interest till the end, namely the characters. Onizuka and Ryuichi cant become more badass than this. The way they interact when they fight together or against various gangs is very well designed and action-paced to a satisfying degree. Including later the romance between Ryuichi and a girl who is abused by her psychopath boyfriend, thus endagering even Ryuichi, keeps the interest going till the end.

For GTO fans a must read, along with Shonan Junai-Gumi

A very short story two-prequels before GTO. This is about how Onizuka and Ryuuichi actually meet, and it talks about their initial group of friends. Too bad it is too short, otherwise this would have been more fun. It is nothing that special by itself. Perhaps its memorable to those who absolutely love GTO like me. This was actually made after the prequel to GTO, go figure.

The humor style is your usual ruffian school boys who are pretty much super at fighting. All Ryuuichi is interested in is fighting... and he sees Onizuka's demon from in taking on a group of guys and later tries to provoke Onizuka into fighting him. But Onizuka is pretty mild while around his friends and isn't just some violent brute. This story is basically how Onizuka and his friends take in Ryuuichi. It has more revealing stories about what happened in their past and it shows that from the start they have a very keen interest in motorcycles. Somehow, they get involved in a gang and I guess this is what leads to the subsequent stories about Onizuka and Ryuuichi combo becoming a legend with this gang.

Again, fun to read, but nothing that memorable because it is so short and stops before it really takes off. Carries a very GTO feel, especially the personality of that girl who is very open about showing panties while the guys are very easily embarassed.
